The Volvo V90 is a premium estate available since 2015, built on Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture platform. Across its production run, the V90 has evolved through several specification levels, with rear windows varying in tint and glass composition to suit different trim packages.
Most V90 models carry toughened rear glass; however, some higher-specification variants feature laminated rear windows for improved acoustic insulation and safety. Rear glass may be tinted dark grey or subtle green depending on the variant and year, matching the factory tint of the front side windows.
From the mid-2010s onwards, Volvo's IntelliSafe suite introduced forward-facing camera systems for adaptive cruise and lane-keeping assistance. Camera bracket components are bonded to the windscreen, not the rear window, so rear-window replacement is straightforward.
