Prices vary significantly across Boxer generations — earlier models without cameras are typically more affordable, whilst Euro 5 and Euro 6 variants with ADAS cameras command higher costs due to calibration complexity. Went out of their way to resolve our problem

UK Car Glass went out of their way to find the special size glass we needed for our school's minibus when we couldn't get even the manufacturers to source it. Fitted straight away. Thank you!

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Peugeot Boxer windscreen replacement

Booking and fitting a Boxer windscreen follows a straightforward path from quote to completion.

  1. 1

Complete a quick online quote using our widget — tell us your Boxer's generation and trim, and we'll identify the exact glass variant you need.

  2. 2

Review the quote and book a fitting time that suits your schedule — mobile fitting at your location or workshop if ADAS calibration is required.

  3. 3

We match you with a specialist in your area who stocks the correct replacement glass.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the technician removes the old windscreen, checks your vehicle's frame condition, and bonds in the new glass.

  5. 5

If your Boxer carries a camera, static calibration is completed at the workshop using diagnostic equipment — the fitter confirms your drive-away time before you leave.

  6. 6

Your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty against workmanship and manufacturing defects.

From booking to completion, most Boxer windscreen jobs finish within a couple of hours.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Boxer?

Most Boxer windscreen replacements can be fitted at your location using a mobile service. However, if your Boxer carries a front-mounted camera (Euro 5 and Euro 6 models), the job moves to a workshop so the technician can perform static ADAS calibration using specialist diagnostic equipment.

This doesn't extend your drive-away time — calibration runs in parallel with the adhesive cure. The specialist confirms your ready-to-drive time before releasing the vehicle.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Green10
    1994–2026

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 10 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (91%); model years 1994–2026.

    What it means

A subtle green tint in the windscreen glass — present on about 90% of Boxers, sometimes hard to spot. This is standard factory glass; the replacement must match it.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

Most Boxer variants from all eras carry green-tinted windscreens. A clear windscreen is very rare on this model — confirmed during the quote.

  • Vin Notch7
    2006–2026

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 7 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (64%); model years 2006–2026.

    What it means

A small rectangular cutout or indent along the bottom of the windscreen displaying part of the chassis number. Present on some Boxers to aid identification.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

Appears on roughly half of catalogued Boxer variants. The replacement glass is cut to match your original, so this is verified during the parts check.

  • Rain Sensor4
    2006–2026No calibration after replacement

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 4 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (36%); model years 2006–2026; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor embedded in the windscreen that detects rain and automatically activates the wipers — a convenience feature on some Boxer trims.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

Fitted to around 22% of Boxer variants, usually on mid-range and higher-specification models. Confirmed during the quote process.

  • Solar Control4
    2006–2026

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 4 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (36%); model years 2006–2026.

    What it means

A heat-absorbing coating that reduces the sun's infrared rays, keeping the cabin cooler on hot days. An optional upgrade on higher-spec Boxer trims.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

Fitted to around 44% of Boxer variants, typically on better-equipped or newer models. Confirmed in your quote details.

  • Camera3
    2014–2026Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 3 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (27%); model years 2014–2026; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen, usually visible as a small triangular bracket near the rear-view mirror. Part of the Drive Assist Plus ADAS suite on Euro 5 and Euro 6 Boxers.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

Present on a small number of catalogued Boxer variants — primarily Euro 5 and Euro 6 models. If your Boxer carries a camera, your quote includes static calibration as part of the fitting service.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    1994–2006

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 1 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (9%); model years 1994–2006.

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Clear1
    1994–2006Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 1 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (9%); model years 1994–2006; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings. If your vehicle has ADAS features (forward-facing camera or radar), calibration may be required after replacement depending on your specific vehicle; we confirm this when we look up your car details.

  • Green Sun Strip1
    1994–2006

On the Peugeot Boxer: fitted on 1 of the 11 windscreen variants we list (9%); model years 1994–2006.

    What it means

A green-tinted gradient band across the top of the windscreen that reduces glare from above without affecting your main view of the road. Built into the laminate during manufacture.

    On your Peugeot Boxer

A rare fitment on Boxer — present on only a small number of variants. The replacement must be the green-sun-strip version to match the original.

About the Peugeot Boxer

The Peugeot Boxer has been in continuous production since 1994, evolving through three generations as a workhorse light commercial vehicle. Early models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal electronics, whilst later generations from the 2000s onwards introduced optional features like rain sensors and encapsulated trim.

From the Euro 5 and Euro 6 era (broadly mid-2010s onwards), Boxer windscreens began carrying front-mounted cameras as part of the Drive Assist Plus safety system. These camera-equipped variants require static calibration after glass replacement, a procedure completed using specialist diagnostic equipment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Only if your Boxer is a Euro 5 or Euro 6 variant equipped with a front-mounted camera for the Drive Assist Plus safety system. If your model carries a camera, static calibration is completed at the workshop immediately after the glass is fitted, using specialist diagnostic equipment.

Non-camera Boxers don't require calibration and can be fitted mobile at your location.

Encapsulation means the windscreen trim is pre-bonded to the glass at the factory, rather than fitted separately during installation. The replacement arrives as a complete unit — glass plus trim together.

This saves the technician time during fitting and reduces the number of separate components to handle. Whether your Boxer variant is encapsulated is confirmed during the quote.

Yes — your replacement glass is matched to your factory specification, including tint colour. Around 89% of Boxer variants have a green-tinted windscreen, which is subtle but important to match for visual consistency and to preserve any features (like rain sensors) that depend on the correct glass specification.

Technician time is usually 45–90 minutes, depending on your specific model and whether ADAS calibration is required. Non-camera Boxers typically fall at the shorter end; Euro 5 and Euro 6 models with camera calibration may take longer as the calibration procedure is completed after the glass is set.

Your fitter will confirm the exact timing and drive-away time before leaving.
