The Fiat Punto has been in continuous production since 1993, spanning five generations from the original 176 through to the final 312 in 2018. Earlier models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal features, while later generations from the mid-2000s onwards introduced solar-control glass to manage cabin heat and reduce cooling demand.
From around 2012, some Punto variants began receiving rain sensors to automate wiper activation in wet conditions. The later W and 312 generations also saw the introduction of green-tinted glass (nearly universal across the range by 2015) and occasional acoustic interlayers on higher-trim versions to reduce wind and road noise.
Fiat's forward-facing ADAS camera systems became standard on newer models from 2020 onwards, though the Punto in our catalogue predates this shift — meaning most variants require no post-replacement camera calibration, keeping the fit straightforward and cost-effective.
