The Porsche 924, produced from 1976 to 1988, represents a pivotal moment in the brand's history as its first water-cooled, front-engined sports car. Across its 12-year production run, the 924 evolved through various updates but maintained a consistent approach to its windscreen and glazing.
All 924 variants in our network feature a green-tinted windscreen as standard — a feature present on every model year. Two-thirds of active 924s also carry a green sun strip, a gradient tint at the top of the windscreen designed to reduce glare from above. Most variants feature an antenna laminated into the glass for radio reception, whilst some models arrived with factory encapsulation — a pre-fitted rubber gasket moulded to the glass edges, simplifying replacement.
Being a classic-era vehicle with no electronic driver-assistance systems, the 924 windscreen replacement is straightforward: no camera calibration, no sensor checks — purely glass and adhesive. This makes fitting times predictable and fitting locations flexible.
