The Porsche 997, produced from 2004 to 2013, represents the final generation of the air-cooled 911 architecture before the transition to direct injection. Across its nine-year production run, windscreen technology evolved significantly to support the model's performance and luxury positioning.
All 997 windscreens feature laminated construction with integrated antenna, encapsulation, rain sensor, solar-control coating, and VIN notch. The majority carry a grey sun strip — a factory-applied tinted band at the top of the windscreen that reduces glare from above. These features are standard across active variants in our catalogue.
The 997 generation predates widespread ADAS adoption in the Porsche line, so no camera-dependent calibration is required after windscreen replacement on these models.
