Peugeot 307 windscreen price, by year

Price variation is driven mainly by generation and trim progression through the 2001–2009 production span. Earlier models with basic clear glass and no acoustic option tend to be more affordable, while later variants with acoustic, rain sensors, or solar-control specification carry higher costs. GPS-equipped variants are the least common and carry a premium for their specialist glass.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Peugeot 307 windscreen replacement

Replacing your 307 windscreen is straightforward — no calibration needed, and most jobs fit within a standard mobile visit.

  1. 1

Complete an instant online quote by answering a few questions about your 307's year and trim — takes about a minute.

  2. 2

You'll receive a fixed price and your choice of appointment slots, available with mobile fitting at your address or at a workshop if you prefer.

  3. 3

Before the fitting day, our parts-check team confirm your exact glass specification matches your vehicle's factory build.

  4. 4

Your fitter arrives with the replacement glass, removes the damaged windscreen, and fits the new one — typically 45–90 minutes of work depending on the job complexity.

  5. 5

The adhesive sets and your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time before you leave; calibration is not required on the 307.

  6. 6

You're covered by a two-year warranty on the glass and workmanship, with a simple claims process if any issues arise.

The whole process from quote to fitted glass usually takes one to two weeks; same-day and next-day slots are often available.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your 307?

The 307 predates ADAS camera systems, so virtually all replacements can be fitted mobile at your address without any calibration requirement. Mobile fitting is the default, and you can choose a workshop visit if you prefer — for example, if weather is poor or you'd rather have the work done in a controlled environment. The decision is yours at booking.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your 307 have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Vin Notch9
    2001–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on every one of the 9 windscreen variants we list; model years 2001–2009.

    What it means

A small box printed along the bottom edge of the windscreen displaying your vehicle's chassis number for identification.

    On your Peugeot 307

Present on all 307 windscreens; visible on the glass itself if you look at the bottom edge.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)6
    2001–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 6 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 2001–2009.

    What it means

An extra acoustic laminate layer in the glass reduces cabin noise from wind and road; typically denoted by the code L3P or an 'Acoustic' label.

    On your Peugeot 307

Found on higher-specification 307 trims and later production years; confirmed in your quote.

  • Clear5
    2001–2009Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 2001–2009; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings. If your vehicle has ADAS features (forward-facing camera or radar), calibration may be required after replacement depending on your specific vehicle; we confirm this when we look up your car details.

  • Coating5
    2001–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 2001–2009.

Coated windscreens have a blue or purple tint and protect your car from UV rays and heat.

    What it means

A coated windscreen has a special protective layer applied to the glass that appears as a blue or purple tint and often reflects a silvery-blue colour in bright sunlight. This coating is designed to reduce the amount of ultraviolet (UV) radiation and solar heat that enters the vehicle, helping to keep the interior cooler and protecting upholstery and dashboard components from UV damage and fading. The coating is integral to the glass and doesn't require any special maintenance from you.

    How to tell

Look at your windscreen in bright daylight — a coated windscreen will show a distinct blue or purple tint and a silvery-blue reflection when the sun hits it directly. Check your vehicle's service booklet or window sticker (usually on the driver's door jamb), which may list the glass specification. Alternatively, ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your windscreen carries a UV or heat-rejection coating.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a coated windscreen, the replacement glass must match the original specification — including the coating type and tint level — to maintain the same UV and heat protection and to preserve the vehicle's interior aesthetics. Original-equipment or equivalent aftermarket coated glass is sourced to specification. The coating is applied during glass manufacture; no post-fit treatment is required. Fitting and cure times are unaffected by the presence of the coating.

  • Rain Sensor5
    2001–2009No calibration after replacement

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 2001–2009; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor embedded in the windscreen that automatically activates your wipers when it detects rain, without driver input.

    On your Peugeot 307

Fitted on mid-range and higher trims from around the mid-2000s onward; confirmed during the quote.

  • Green4
    2001–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 4 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (44%); model years 2001–2009.

    What it means

A subtle green tint in the glass that is hard to see but helps reduce glare and UV; matches the tint in the vehicle's front side windows.

    On your Peugeot 307

Present on some variants across both generations; your quote will identify if your 307 has green-tinted glass.

  • GPS2
    2003–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 2 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (22%); model years 2003–2009.

    What it means

A GPS antenna is laminated into the windscreen to improve satellite-navigation reception for the vehicle's sat-nav system.

    On your Peugeot 307

A minority option on later high-spec 307s; your replacement glass carries the same antenna pattern so navigation reception is preserved.

  • Solar Control2
    2003–2009

On the Peugeot 307: fitted on 2 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (22%); model years 2003–2009.

    What it means

A special coating in the glass that absorbs the Sun's infrared rays, helping keep the cabin cooler in summer.

    On your Peugeot 307

A rare premium option on later 307 variants; your quote will confirm if present.

About the Peugeot 307

The Peugeot 307 was in continuous production from 2001 to 2009, spanning two generations with steady evolution in glass specification. Earlier models from the early 2000s carry straightforward encapsulated windscreens with a VIN notch, while later examples introduce acoustic laminated glass as an available option and subtle tinting variations across the range.

Rain sensors began appearing on higher-specification variants partway through the model's life, while GPS antennas and solar-control glass remained rare premium features. None of the 307 variants in our catalogue carry the ADAS cameras that appear on later Peugeot models, so replacement windscreens fit without post-replacement calibration.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

No. The Peugeot 307 (2001–2009) does not carry the front-camera ADAS systems that appear on newer Peugeot models. Replacement is straightforward fitting with no post-replacement calibration or specialist equipment needed.

Yes. If your 307 is fitted with a rain sensor, the replacement windscreen carries the same sensor pattern and your fitter bonds it into the frame so the wipers continue to work automatically. The sensor is confirmed during your quote.

Yes. GPS-equipped 307 variants have an antenna laminated into the windscreen. Your replacement glass includes the same antenna pattern so satellite-navigation reception is preserved. This is one of the reasons the quote confirms your exact variant before parts sourcing.

Acoustic windscreens do carry a higher cost than standard glass, reflecting the additional laminate layer that reduces noise. Your instant quote shows the exact price for your 307's specification once we identify whether it's fitted with acoustic glass.
