Peugeot 207 windscreen price, by year

Price variation across 207 variants is modest because the model generation is uniform and none carry camera-equipped ADAS systems. The main factors affecting cost are acoustic glass (if fitted) and whether solar-control or rain-sensor features are present — these require more complex sourcing than base glass.

Year Price range Quote
2012 £325 — £566 Price my 2012

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Peugeot 207 windscreen replacement

Booking your Peugeot 207 windscreen replacement is straightforward.

  1. 1

Answer a short quiz about your 207's spec (year, trim level, and visible features) — the system identifies your exact variant in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Receive an instant quote and book a fitting slot at your preferred location — mobile at home or a workshop near you.

  3. 3

Our parts team confirm the exact glass spec during the booking review, ensuring encapsulation trim and any tint features are matched to your original.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your technician removes the old glass, clears the frame, and installs the replacement with fresh adhesive — typically 45 to 90 minutes of their time.

  5. 5

No cure-time wait is needed before you drive — your fitter confirms you're ready to go before they leave.

  6. 6

Your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Throughout the process, you're guided by UKCG's booking team and matched with a specialist who handles hundreds of replacements like yours each year.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your 207?

The Peugeot 207 does not require ADAS camera calibration because the model predates front-camera systems. This means fitting can happen anywhere — mobile at your home or at a workshop — with no technical barriers.

Mobile fitting is the standard choice for most 207 owners because there's no calibration equipment needed. Workshop fitting is an option if you prefer, and may be advisable in poor weather or if easier access to the vehicle is a priority.

What features does your 207 have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Vin Notch9
    2006–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on every one of the 9 windscreen variants we list; model years 2006–2012.

    What it means

A small rectangular box printed or embedded along the bottom edge of the windscreen displaying the vehicle's VIN (chassis number), often used for identification during insurance or regulatory checks.

    On your Peugeot 207

All 207 windscreens include a VIN notch — your replacement will match your original.

  • Green6
    2006–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 6 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 2006–2012.

    What it means

A subtle green tint throughout the glass that reduces glare and UV exposure; most owners don't notice it because the tint is very faint, but it's a factory specification that must be matched.

    On your Peugeot 207

Around 7 out of 10 207s in our system carry green-tinted glass. Your quote confirms whether yours does.

  • Rain Sensor5
    2006–2012No calibration after replacement

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 2006–2012; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

A sensor embedded in the glass that detects moisture and automatically activates the windscreen wipers — a convenience feature fitted to mid and higher trim levels.

    On your Peugeot 207

Rain sensors are confirmed during the booking spec check; roughly half of 207s are equipped. If your wipers activate automatically in light rain without manual input, you have one.

  • Solar Control4
    2006–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 4 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (44%); model years 2006–2012.

    What it means

A special coating on the glass that absorbs infrared (heat) rays from the sun, keeping the cabin cooler and reducing air-conditioning strain.

    On your Peugeot 207

Solar-control glass is confirmed during your quote. It was a popular option on 207s specified for sun-heavy markets or comfort-focused trims.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)3
    2006–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 3 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2006–2012.

    What it means

An extra sound-damping layer within the laminate that reduces road and wind noise inside the cabin — a premium comfort feature typically marked with an 'ear' symbol or 'Acoustic' text in one corner.

    On your Peugeot 207

Acoustic glass was optional on higher-spec 207s; look for an 'ear' symbol or 'Acoustic' marking in a corner of your existing windscreen, or confirm during the quote.

  • Clear3
    2006–2012Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 3 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2006–2012; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings. If your vehicle has ADAS features (forward-facing camera or radar), calibration may be required after replacement depending on your specific vehicle; we confirm this when we look up your car details.

Calibration mix across our Peugeot variants

    • 3None

We confirm the exact procedure for your specific vehicle when you book.

  • Coating3
    2006–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 3 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2006–2012.

Coated windscreens have a blue or purple tint and protect your car from UV rays and heat.

    What it means

A coated windscreen has a special protective layer applied to the glass that appears as a blue or purple tint and often reflects a silvery-blue colour in bright sunlight. This coating is designed to reduce the amount of ultraviolet (UV) radiation and solar heat that enters the vehicle, helping to keep the interior cooler and protecting upholstery and dashboard components from UV damage and fading. The coating is integral to the glass and doesn't require any special maintenance from you.

    How to tell

Look at your windscreen in bright daylight — a coated windscreen will show a distinct blue or purple tint and a silvery-blue reflection when the sun hits it directly. Check your vehicle's service booklet or window sticker (usually on the driver's door jamb), which may list the glass specification. Alternatively, ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your windscreen carries a UV or heat-rejection coating.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a coated windscreen, the replacement glass must match the original specification — including the coating type and tint level — to maintain the same UV and heat protection and to preserve the vehicle's interior aesthetics. Original-equipment or equivalent aftermarket coated glass is sourced to specification. The coating is applied during glass manufacture; no post-fit treatment is required. Fitting and cure times are unaffected by the presence of the coating.

  • Antenna1
    2007–2012

On the Peugeot 207: fitted on 1 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2007–2012.

    What it means

A radio or reception antenna laminated into the glass (instead of a traditional roof mast), requiring the replacement glass to carry the same antenna print and connector so reception is restored.

    On your Peugeot 207

Windscreen antennas are rare on 207s but fitted to a small number of variants; confirmed during the booking spec review.

About the Peugeot 207

The Peugeot 207 was produced from 2006 to 2012 across a single generation, making it one of Peugeot's most recognisable compact cars of that era. All variants carried laminated windscreens with factory-fitted encapsulation — the rubber trim is moulded directly onto the glass, so replacement means fitting the panel and trim as one unit.

Green-tinted glass became standard as the generation matured, fitted to around 70% of surviving 207s in our catalogue. Around half of all 207s came with rain sensors for automatic wipers, and a minority were specified with solar-control coating to reduce cabin heat. Acoustic laminated windscreens (identifiable by an 'ear' symbol or 'Acoustic' marking) were available on higher trim levels, making up roughly 30% of the range.

The 207 predates modern ADAS systems — no front cameras or calibration requirements apply to windscreen replacement on any variant. This simplifies the job considerably compared to newer Peugeots.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

No. The Peugeot 207 (2006–2012) does not carry front-facing ADAS cameras or driver-assistance systems, so no calibration is required after replacement. This keeps the job straightforward and means you can book mobile fitting at your preferred location.

All 207 windscreens arrive with the rubber trim already bonded to the glass edge at the factory. When we replace your windscreen, the new trim comes as part of the glass panel — your technician doesn't need to source or install trim separately. This is faster and ensures a perfect fit.

Yes. If your 207 has green-tinted glass, the replacement will be green-tinted too — this is a factory specification that must be matched.

If your windscreen carries solar-control coating or acoustic damping, those features are matched during the booking spec check so the replacement glass is identical to your original.

The fitter typically needs 45 to 90 minutes of active work, depending on the complexity of the frame and any adhesive residue. Once the glass is set, you're ready to drive — no extended cure-time wait before you use the car.
