Mitsubishi Lancer windscreen price, by year

Price variation across Lancer variants depends on generation, tint type, and the presence of features like rain sensors or sun strips. Earlier models without tints or sensors are typically the most straightforward; later variants with blue tints, sun strips, or sensor brackets incur slightly higher costs due to the complexity of matching the exact specification.

Quick service and great for fitting in asap. I would have expected the broken glass to have been cleared from my car by the window fitter. Also i requested a factory tinted unit and the one supplied was standard glass

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Mitsubishi Lancer windscreen replacement

Booking your Lancer windscreen replacement takes just a few steps.

  1. 1

Answer a quick online quiz about your model year and trim to identify your exact variant — takes under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Our parts team confirms your windscreen specification, including any tint, sun strip, or sensor brackets.

  3. 3

You're matched with a local technician approved by UKCG and offered a mobile or workshop appointment.

  4. 4

On the day, your fitter removes the damaged windscreen, fits the matched replacement, and confirms the drive-away time before leaving.

  5. 5

You're covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Most Lancer jobs are completed within a couple of hours, and your car is ready to drive once the adhesive cure time is confirmed by your fitter.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Lancer?

Most Lancer windscreen replacements are completed at your preferred location — either mobile at home or at a workshop. Because the Lancer's production span pre-dates modern ADAS systems, few variants in our catalogue carry windscreen-mounted cameras, so calibration is rarely needed.

If your specific variant does include a forward-facing camera for driver assistance features, your technician will confirm this during the booking process and may recommend a workshop appointment to ensure any calibration is completed alongside the glass replacement.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Lancer have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Blue5
    1989–2000

On the Mitsubishi Lancer: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 1989–2000.

    What it means

A faint blue tint across the windscreen, even harder to detect than green tint but present on roughly one in three Lancer variants.

    On your Mitsubishi Lancer

Identified during the parts check once your exact variant is matched; typical of mid-2000s and later Lancers.

  • Green4
    1993–2017

On the Mitsubishi Lancer: fitted on 4 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (44%); model years 1993–2017.

    What it means

A subtle greenish tint applied to the glass — hard to spot at first glance but visible when you compare it side-by-side with clear glass.

    On your Mitsubishi Lancer

Confirmed during the quote process based on your model year and trim; common on Lancers from the early 2000s onwards.

  • Blue Sun Strip3
    1989–2003

On the Mitsubishi Lancer: fitted on 3 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 1989–2003.

    What it means

A blue-tinted gradient band running across the top of the windscreen that reduces sun glare from above without affecting your main driving view.

    On your Mitsubishi Lancer

Found on higher-spec Lancer variants; confirmed during your quote as part of the factory specification check.

  • Vin Notch1
    2008–2014

On the Mitsubishi Lancer: fitted on 1 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2008–2014.

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

About the Mitsubishi Lancer

The Mitsubishi Lancer has been in continuous production since 1989, spanning multiple generations from the compact saloon era through to its final generation in 2017. Early models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal features, while later generations introduced green and blue tints as standard across most variants.

From the mid-2000s onwards, some higher-spec Lancer models gained blue sun strips — a gradient tint at the top of the windscreen that reduces glare without obscuring the driver's main field of view. More recent Lancers may also feature rain sensors for automatic wiper activation.

The Lancer's long production run means generation and trim level are key to identifying your exact glass specification. The quote process will pinpoint your variant and confirm whether your windscreen carries tint, a sun strip, or any sensor equipment.
