Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

Up/Down Door Glass Replacement

Booked the job online Wednesday morning (process was easy), booked in, glass sourced and completed at my home address Friday morning (at a very competitive rate) - Great service! Note: UKCG subcontract your work out to local businesses. So go and give your local fitter a review aswell

What to expect during your Mitsubishi L300 windscreen replacement

Booking your L300 windscreen replacement through UK Car Glass is straightforward and takes just a couple of minutes.

  1. 1

Complete our quick online quiz to identify your exact L300 variant and windscreen spec — tint type, sun-strip gradient, and any ADAS camera bracket details.

  2. 2

Receive an instant quote and choose your fitting date and location (mobile at your address or at a local workshop).

  3. 3

We match you with an approved fitter in your area who sources glass matching your factory specification.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your technician replaces the windscreen and, if your L300 carries an ADAS camera, completes any required recalibration in the same visit.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time before leaving — typically a couple of hours depending on the adhesive used and conditions.

  6. 6

Your replacement comes with a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

After your booking, you'll receive confirmation and details of your assigned technician — no surprises, full transparency.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your L300?

Most L300 windscreen replacements can be carried out at your home or workplace as a mobile visit. However, if your L300 is fitted with an ADAS camera for forward-collision or lane-keeping systems, calibration may be required after the glass is set.

When calibration is needed, the fitting and recalibration happen in the same visit at a workshop — we don't split the job across locations. This ensures the safety system is properly verified before you drive away.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your L300 have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Blue2
    1987–2026

On the Mitsubishi L300: fitted on 2 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 1987–2026.

    What it means

A subtle tint (85% of all cars have this) that reduces glare and heat — often so faint owners don't notice it until replacement.

    On your Mitsubishi L300

Confirmed during the parts check phase of your quote — our team verifies the exact tint specification for your L300 variant.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    1987–2026

On the Mitsubishi L300: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 1987–2026.

    What it means

A blue-tinted gradient band running across the top of the windscreen that reduces glare from the sun above without affecting your main field of view.

    On your Mitsubishi L300

Present on certain L300 variants — confirmed at the parts-check stage. If your windscreen carries this, the replacement must include the sun-strip gradient or visibility will differ.

  • Clear1
    1987–2026Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mitsubishi L300: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 1987–2026; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings. If your vehicle has ADAS features (forward-facing camera or radar), calibration may be required after replacement depending on your specific vehicle; we confirm this when we look up your car details.

About the Mitsubishi L300

The Mitsubishi L300 has been in continuous production since 1987, serving as a workhorse light commercial vehicle across multiple generations. Early and mid-production models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal features, while later variants may include tinted glass options to reduce cabin heat and glare.

Modern L300 examples fitted with MI-PILOT Assist or forward-facing ADAS systems require a windscreen-mounted camera bracket and calibration after replacement. The replacement glass must match your exact specification — tint type, sun-strip gradient if present, and camera-bracket positioning — to maintain safety system performance.
