Mitsubishi Eclipse windscreen price, by year

Prices vary based on your model's generation and features. Earlier Eclipse models without cameras are generally more affordable. Later variants with rain sensors, acoustic glass, or MI-PILOT Assist camera systems carry higher costs due to calibration and feature complexity.

Green tint, which appears on most modern Eclipse windscreens, does not affect price — it's a standard specification.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Eclipse?

Most Eclipse windscreen replacements can be fitted at your home or workplace on a mobile basis. However, if your variant carries a forward-facing ADAS camera for lane-keeping or collision mitigation, the replacement and calibration are scheduled at a workshop — this ensures the camera system can be precisely recalibrated in a controlled environment using manufacturer-approved equipment.

Your specialist will confirm the location when you book, and the entire job (glass replacement plus any calibration) happens in one visit so you know the system is correctly set up.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Eclipse have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Green3
    1997–2021

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on every one of the 3 windscreen variants we list; model years 1997–2021.

    What it means

A light green tint that is hard to see but reduces glare and UV transmission — standard on all modern Eclipse windscreens.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

Green tint is fitted as standard on most Eclipse variants from the 2010s onwards; confirmed during the parts check after you book.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)2
    2017–2021

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 2 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 2017–2021.

    What it means

Layered glass construction that absorbs road and wind noise — reduces cabin noise significantly during motorway driving.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

Look for the word 'Acoustic' or 'SoundScreen' printed in one of the top corners of your windscreen, or an ear symbol. Typically found on mid-range and higher trims.

  • Camera2
    2017–2021Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 2 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 2017–2021; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen that detects vehicles, lane markings, and pedestrians — part of MI-PILOT Assist on equipped variants.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

You will notice one or two triangular shapes in the black field near the rear-view mirror if your Eclipse carries a camera. Confirmed on variants with lane-keeping or collision mitigation systems.

  • Rain Sensor2
    2017–2021No calibration after replacement

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 2 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (67%); model years 2017–2021; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

Automatic wiper activation when rain is detected — no manual operation needed in light showers or while driving in wet conditions.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

If your wipers activate automatically when it starts to rain without you touching the stalk, your Eclipse has a rain sensor. Common on mid-range and newer variants.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    1997–2005

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 1997–2005.

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Bracket For Safety Features1
    2017–2012Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2012; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

The trim cover that surrounds the camera and sensor cluster at the top of the windscreen — typically transferred from your old glass to the new one or supplied integrated.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

Visible as a moulded black shroud around the rear-view mirror housing on variants with ADAS cameras. Confirmed during the parts check when you book.

  • Heated Windscreen1
    2017–2012

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2012.

    What it means

An integrated mesh of thin heating wires that quickly defrosts the windscreen in cold weather — improves visibility and safety during winter mornings.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

If your Eclipse has a heated windscreen, you'll see thin horizontal or grid lines across the glass when it's switched on. Found on some higher-trim variants.

  • Heated Wiper Rest Area1
    2017–2012

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2012.

Heating elements embedded in the glass melt ice from your wipers and the bottom of your windscreen.

    What it means

A heated wiper rest area uses electric heating elements embedded into the windscreen in the area where your wipers park when not in use. These elements warm the glass to prevent ice and frost from bonding to the wiper blades and the lower windscreen edge during cold weather. This reduces the effort needed to clear ice in the morning and helps protect your wipers from damage caused by frozen adhesion to the glass.

    How to tell

Check your windscreen's lower edge where the wipers rest — you may see faint heating lines or elements visible in the glass. Your handbook or service history will confirm the feature. You can also ask your dealer or service centre whether your vehicle is equipped with a heated wiper rest area.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a heated wiper rest area, the replacement glass must include the heating elements. Aftermarket and OE glazing suppliers offer this feature, but availability varies by vehicle. The heating system does not require calibration after replacement, though the technician will ensure the heating element connections are properly restored during installation.

  • LIDAR1
    2017–2012Bespoke calibration

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2012; bespoke calibration.

LIDAR helps your car sense its surroundings for advanced safety and driver-assistance features.

    What it means

LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a sensor technology that uses laser beams to detect objects, obstacles, and road features in three dimensions. It creates a detailed map of the vehicle's surroundings in real time, enabling advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and autonomous emergency braking. LIDAR complements camera and radar systems by providing precise distance and depth information, even in poor visibility or low-light conditions. It is increasingly fitted to modern vehicles as part of their safety and autonomous-capability infrastructure.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or contact your dealership to confirm LIDAR fitment. LIDAR sensors are typically mounted on the roof, bumpers, or within the windscreen/rear-window frame area. You may see reference to 'LIDAR', 'laser radar', or specific safety-feature names (e.g. 'adaptive cruise control', 'autonomous emergency braking') that rely on LIDAR in your documentation.

    Replacement impact

If your windscreen or rear window houses or frames a LIDAR sensor, replacement requires careful handling to preserve or recalibrate the sensor post-fit. LIDAR calibration procedures vary significantly by vehicle make, model, and year—some require static alignment using specialist target equipment, others demand dynamic road-drive procedures, and some use a combination. We identify the exact calibration requirement when we look up your specific vehicle and confirm it with you before booking.

  • Static Camera Calibration Process1
    2017–2012Static calibration required

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2012; static calibration required.

    What it means

Indoor calibration of the forward-facing camera using printed targets placed at manufacturer-specified distances — ensures collision mitigation and lane-keeping work reliably after replacement.

    On your Mitsubishi Eclipse

Required on Eclipse variants equipped with MI-PILOT Assist or lane-keeping systems; your specialist will confirm this at booking and schedule the job at a workshop if needed.

  • Vin Notch1
    2017–2021

On the Mitsubishi Eclipse: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021.

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

About the Mitsubishi Eclipse

The Mitsubishi Eclipse has been produced across multiple generations since 1989, with the most recent generation ending in 2021. Earlier models carried straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal electronic integration.

From the 2010s onwards, newer Eclipse variants began featuring rain sensors, acoustic glass options, and green-tinted windscreens as standard. Camera systems arrived on later variants equipped with MI-PILOT Assist, Mitsubishi's advanced driver assistance suite.

If your Eclipse carries a forward-facing camera for lane-keeping or collision mitigation, windscreen replacement will trigger a recalibration requirement — your specialist will handle this as part of the job.
