The Jaguar XE has been in continuous production since 2015, evolving through two main generations with a mid-cycle facelift in 2020. All XE windscreens carry rain sensors, VIN notches, and encapsulated trim edges — meaning the rubber gasket arrives bonded to the glass, simplifying replacement.
From the early 2020s onwards, most XE models feature the InControl Driver Assistance camera system, which supports emergency braking, lane keeping, and traffic sign recognition. This requires static camera calibration following windscreen replacement, typically completed at a workshop to ensure precision.
Acoustic laminated glass is common on diesel models and higher-spec variants, reducing cabin noise. Some XE trims also feature heated windscreens for demisting in winter conditions, while a minority carry green-tinted or solar-control glass to manage solar heat gain.
