The Jaguar X-Type was produced from 2001 to 2010, spanning two generations of compact executive styling. Throughout its production run, windscreens were fitted with solar control glass as standard, reducing cabin heat and UV transmission.
Earlier X-Type models carried straightforward laminated windscreens. Later variants from the mid-2000s onwards often featured rain sensors and heated glass options on higher-specification trims, reflecting the model's evolution toward modern convenience features.
The X-Type predates Jaguar's InControl Driver Assistance system, so ADAS calibration is not a requirement for this model. Windscreen replacement is typically a straightforward job without the complexity of camera recalibration.
