FIAT Strada windscreen price, by year

Prices vary with generation and ADAS equipment. Earlier Strada models without camera systems are typically the most affordable to replace. Newer variants equipped with the Co-Driver ADAS system carry higher calibration costs, as camera recalibration must be completed after the glass is fitted to restore full driver-assistance functionality.

Excellent

Arrived on time, took a little bit longer to replace the rear window on a corsa hatchback but the work was excellent and all the broken glass was retrieved and disposed of. The guy from UK glass was very thorough and I would recommend this company should you need any car windows/windscreens replacing.

What to expect during your FIAT Strada windscreen replacement

Booking your Strada windscreen replacement is straightforward and takes just a couple of minutes online.

  1. 1

Start with a quick guided quote using our online widget — answer a few questions about your Strada's year and features to identify your exact variant.

  2. 2

Once you've reviewed the quote, complete your booking and choose your preferred appointment date.

  3. 3

Our parts team runs a final check to confirm the correct glass specification for your vehicle.

  4. 4

You'll be matched with a local technician experienced with your generation of Strada.

  5. 5

On fitting day, the technician arrives at your chosen location (mobile at your address or at a workshop). If your Strada has an ADAS camera, calibration is completed before you drive away.

  6. 6

Your replacement comes with a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

Trust is built on transparency — that's why we partner with approved fitters and handle the parts check ourselves.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Strada?

Most Strada windscreen replacements can be completed at your home or workplace using mobile fitting. However, if your vehicle is equipped with the Co-Driver ADAS camera system, the technician will perform static calibration after the glass is fitted.

Whilst some technicians can complete this calibration on-site with portable equipment, others may need workshop access for target boards and a controlled environment. If a workshop visit is necessary, the entire job — replacement and calibration — is scheduled at one location to keep you accountable and ensure the safety-critical calibration is actually completed.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Green2
    1978–2026

Green tint reduces glare and improves visual comfort by filtering certain light wavelengths.

    What it means

Green tint is a light-filtering coating applied to the glass during manufacture. It absorbs and reduces transmission of certain wavelengths of light, primarily to cut glare from sunlight and reflections. The tint is subtle — often barely visible to the naked eye — but measurably improves visual comfort during prolonged driving, particularly in bright conditions. It's a factory specification chosen by the vehicle manufacturer to balance daylight comfort with interior visibility and aesthetic consistency across all glass in the vehicle.

    How to tell

The easiest way to check is to roll your side window halfway down and hold a piece of white paper behind it. Look carefully for a tint cast — green tint will appear as a subtle green hue compared to clear glass. Your windscreen will have the same tint as your side windows. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre — they'll have the original specification on file.

    Replacement impact

Green-tinted replacement glass must match the original tint specification to maintain visual consistency across all windows and preserve the vehicle's interior aesthetics. Aftermarket OE-equivalent (OEE) green-tinted glass is widely available, though some vehicles may require original equipment (OEM) dealership glass if the tint specification is proprietary. Tint does not affect calibration, cure time, or installation procedure — it's a cosmetic and functional specification only.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    1978–1988

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Solar Control1
    1997–2026

Solar control glass absorbs infrared rays to reduce heat and improve cabin comfort.

    What it means

Solar control is a coating applied to the windscreen that absorbs the sun's infrared radiation rather than allowing it to pass through into the cabin. This reduces solar heat gain, helping to keep the interior cooler and more comfortable, particularly in warm weather or direct sunlight. The coating is transparent to visible light, so it doesn't darken the windscreen or affect visibility. It's a passive thermal management feature that works continuously whenever the sun is shining on the glass.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's specification sheet or contact your dealership service centre to confirm whether solar control glass is fitted. Some manufacturers list it as 'solar control windscreen', 'heat-reflective glass', or 'thermal management glass'. It's a factory-fitted feature and won't be visibly obvious from outside the car — the coating is integral to the glass itself.

    Replacement impact

Solar control glass is a factory-fitted specification. When replacing the windscreen, a solar control variant must be sourced to match the original. This is a standard glass type with no special fitting implications or calibration requirements. Cure and drive-away times follow normal windscreen bonding procedures. Confirm with your fitter that the replacement glass includes solar control to maintain the original thermal performance.

About the FIAT Strada

The Fiat Strada has been in production since 1978, evolving through several generations as a compact pickup and utility vehicle. Its windscreen design reflects this long history — earlier generations feature straightforward laminated glass, whilst modern variants incorporate additional comfort features.

From the 2020 model year onwards, Fiat's Co-Driver ADAS suite introduced forward-facing camera systems to the Strada range. Windscreen replacement on these newer models requires camera recalibration to restore the original safety geometry. Specialists on our network are familiar with this procedure and can arrange the necessary calibration after fitting.
