Alfa Romeo Giulietta windscreen price, by year

Pricing varies primarily with generation and ADAS equipment. Earlier 2010–2015 models without cameras represent the most straightforward fitments and tend toward lower cost, whilst later variants equipped with rain sensors, VIN notches, and acoustic lamination carry higher replacement and calibration fees. Vehicles with front-facing ADAS cameras require additional time for static calibration after the glass is fitted, which extends the technician's involvement and workshop scheduling.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Alfa Romeo Giulietta windscreen replacement

Booking your Giulietta windscreen replacement is straightforward and takes just minutes online.

  1. 1

Use our quick quote widget to identify your exact variant — the system guides you through make, model, year, and key features (rain sensor, camera presence, tint type) to pinpoint the right glass.

  2. 2

Once your variant is confirmed, you'll see an instant quote and can proceed to book online or speak with our team for a bespoke arrangement.

  3. 3

We match you with an approved technician in your area who sources the replacement glass matched to your factory specification.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your technician arrives at your chosen location — typically mobile at home or at a workshop if ADAS calibration is required — and replaces the windscreen with laminated glass matching your original.

  5. 5

If your Giulietta has a front-facing ADAS camera, static calibration is completed after the glass is set and cure begins in parallel, so it doesn't delay your drive-away time.

  6. 6

Your fitter will confirm the minimum drive-away time before leaving, and you'll receive a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

From quote to fitted glass, the entire process is designed to be quick, transparent, and backed by our network of trusted local technicians.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Giulietta?

Most Giulietta windscreen replacements can be completed mobile at your home or workplace — the specialist you're matched with will confirm this at booking. However, if your Giulietta is equipped with a front-facing ADAS camera (present on a small proportion of modern variants), static calibration is required after the glass is fitted.

When calibration is needed, the entire job — replacement and calibration together — is scheduled at a workshop with proper target boards and controlled lighting. This ensures the camera is correctly recalibrated for lane-assist and cruise functions to operate safely. Your fitter will confirm whether calibration applies to your specific variant during the booking process.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

    What it means

Laminated glass with acoustic interlayer that absorbs road and wind noise, creating a quieter cabin.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Nearly all current Giuliettas from the mid-2010s onwards carry acoustic glass; earlier models (2010–2015) typically do not. Confirmed during your quote.

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on every one of the 4 windscreen variants we list; model years 2009–2020.

    What it means

A light green tint in the laminate that's almost invisible to the eye but reduces solar heat transmission and glare.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

All Giulietta windscreens in our catalogue are green-tinted; this is factory standard across every variant.

  • Vin Notch4
    2009–2020

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on every one of the 4 windscreen variants we list; model years 2009–2020.

    What it means

A small rectangular cutout or raised area along the bottom edge of the windscreen displaying the vehicle's chassis number (VIN).

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

VIN notches are present on most modern Giuliettas from the mid-2010s onward; earlier 2010–2014 models typically omit this feature.

  • Rain Sensor3
    2009–2020No calibration after replacement

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on 3 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (75%); model years 2009–2020; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor behind the windscreen that automatically activates the wipers when it detects rain.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Rain sensors became standard on most Giulietta variants from around 2016 onwards; earlier models typically do not carry this feature. Confirmed at quote.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    2009–2020

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on 1 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (25%); model years 2009–2020.

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Camera1
    2024–2020Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on 1 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (25%); model years 2024–2020; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A front-facing windscreen-mounted camera that supports ADAS functions such as lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Only a small proportion of Giuliettas in our catalogue carry a front-facing ADAS camera; this is typically found on higher-trim or more recent variants from around 2017 onwards. Confirmed during your quote.

  • Heat Absorbing PVB1
    2010–2020

On the Alfa Romeo Giulietta: fitted on 1 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (25%); model years 2010–2020.

Heat-absorbing PVB interlayer reduces solar gain and cabin temperature on warm days—but must match your original spec.

    What it means

Heat-absorbing PVB is a specially formulated interlayer sandwiched between the glass plies in your windscreen. It absorbs a portion of the sun's infrared radiation before it enters the cabin, reducing solar heat gain on warm days. This keeps the interior cooler and reduces air-conditioning workload. The feature is built into the glass during manufacture and cannot be added or removed after production. If your vehicle left the factory with this interlayer, any replacement windscreen must carry the same PVB specification to maintain the original thermal performance.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's specification sheet or handbook—heat-absorbing PVB is listed under windscreen or glass specification. You can also ask your dealership service centre or provide us with your vehicle registration; we'll confirm whether your car came with this feature as standard or as an option.

    Replacement impact

Replacement windscreens with heat-absorbing PVB must be sourced to the exact OE specification—aftermarket alternatives with standard PVB will not deliver the same solar-control performance. We ensure the correct spec is ordered before the fit. No calibration is required. Installation and cure procedures are identical to standard windscreen replacement; the interlayer is integral to the glass and requires no additional treatment.

About the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been in continuous production since 2010, spanning two generations with consistent platform architecture. The windscreen remained largely conventional through the early 2010s, with laminated safety glass as standard across all variants.

From the mid-2010s onwards, Alfa Romeo began equipping higher-specification variants with acoustic laminated glass to reduce cabin noise — a feature now present across nearly all current Giulietta models in our catalogue. All variants carry green-tinted glass and factory-fitted encapsulation, meaning the rubber trim arrives bonded to the glass itself.

Modern Giuliettas from around 2017 onwards introduced rain sensors on most variants and VIN notches along the lower edge. A small proportion of current stock includes front-facing windscreen-mounted cameras for ADAS lane-assist functions, requiring static calibration after replacement.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Only if your model carries a front-facing ADAS camera, which is present on a small proportion of modern variants from around 2017 onwards. If your Giulietta has lane-assist or adaptive cruise control, it likely has a camera mounted behind the windscreen.

Static camera calibration is then required after the glass is replaced to ensure the ADAS functions work safely. This is completed at a workshop using fixed target boards and is included in the quote. Calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend your drive-away time.

Earlier Giuliettas (2010–2015) carry straightforward laminated windscreens without rain sensors or VIN notches. From the mid-2010s onwards, most variants introduced acoustic laminated glass for noise reduction, factory rain sensors, and VIN notches along the bottom edge.

A small proportion of modern variants also carry front-facing ADAS cameras. These generational differences affect sourcing and fitting time, which are reflected in your personalised quote.

Yes, green tinting is factory standard on all Alfa Romeo Giuliettas. It's a light tint that's almost invisible to the eye but reduces solar heat and glare. Your replacement windscreen will carry the same green tint to match your original.

Encapsulation means the rubber gasket is factory-bonded to the windscreen edges using injection moulding. This keeps the glass and trim perfectly aligned and reduces fitting time — the specialist installs the glass-plus-trim as a single unit rather than fitting them separately. All Giuliettas feature this design.
