Booking on line took order and confirmed the window screen replacement for this Tuesday, arranged to travel and take time from work only to get an email today to say can not be done until next week. Terrible service (or lack of service)

Misleading pricing practice

I submitted the details of my vehicle including license plate (from which they can get the VIN) and was given a quote for a replacement windscreen with calibration and home installation. It was a good price compared to competitors and the technician would have been able to repair at home. I accepted the quote and made payment for £889.11, and waited for the confirmation of date and time of installment. 18 hours later I received a call saying that a technician would be able to come out tomorrow to install, however the price quoted was incorrect and in fact it would be £200 more expensive as they got the windscreen part number wrong. Very annoying and potentially misleading pricing practice. I told them to recredit my card and that I would look elsewhere

Efficient replacement of B-Max Rear Window

Some difficulty locating replacement rear offside window for my Ford B-Max at the right price. After slight delay efficient service by office administrators and installer.

What to expect during your Nissan Pulsar rear window replacement

Rear-window replacement is a straightforward mobile or workshop job, typically completed in under two hours from start to finish.

  1. 1

You'll complete a quick online quote using our widget — just select your Pulsar's year and trim, and we'll identify the exact rear-window variant.

  2. 2

Our parts team confirms the glass specification matches your factory original, including the encapsulated gasket trim and privacy tint level.

  3. 3

We match you with an approved fitter in your area who stocks or can source the correct panel.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the shattered original glass is carefully removed and all accessible shards are cleared — shard cleanup is a major part of rear-window jobs. We recommend a professional valet afterwards for thorough interior detailing, as small fragments can lodge in places the fitter can't always reach on the day.

  5. 5

The new encapsulated panel is bonded into the frame using specialist polyurethane adhesive. Your fitter will confirm the minimum drive-away time before they leave.

  6. 6

You're covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

The whole process is straightforward — book online, and your local fitter handles the rest.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Pulsar?

Rear-window replacement on the Pulsar is usually fitted mobile at your address. Your fitter arrives with all necessary tools and can complete the job on your driveway or in your car park.

If weather conditions are poor on the day or your location has limited access, your fitter may suggest a workshop visit instead — this is arranged during booking and won't affect the final cost or timeline.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Grey Privacy1
    2014–2018

Dark grey tint on rear windows provides privacy and reduces interior heat and glare.

    What it means

Dark grey tint, formally known as privacy glass, is a factory-applied tint created through a deep-dipping process during glass manufacture. The pigment is infused into the inner surface of the glass, darkening the rear windows (and sometimes rear doors) significantly more than the front. This reduces heat transmission, minimises glare, and obscures the interior from outside view. It's standard on the rear half of many modern vehicles.

    How to tell

Compare the rear side windows and rear window (backlight) to the front side windows — the rear glass will be noticeably darker. Check your vehicle documents or ask your dealership service centre if you're unsure whether your car left the factory with privacy glass.

    Replacement impact

Dark grey tinted glass must be sourced from the Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) or dealership to ensure colour and transmission match your vehicle's existing rear glass. The tint is integral to the glass itself, not a surface coating, so aftermarket non-tinted glass will look visibly mismatched. Replacement does not require any calibration and follows standard bonded-glass cure times for rear windows.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen1
    2014–2018

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

About the Nissan Pulsar

The Nissan Pulsar (2014–2018) is a compact saloon with straightforward rear-window specifications across its range. The rear glass arrives as a single sealed unit with an encapsulated rubber gasket moulded directly onto its edges, meaning your replacement arrives as a complete panel-plus-trim assembly.

Privacy tinting is standard on Pulsar rear windows — darker than the windscreen to match factory spec. Your replacement glass is matched to your exact variant during the quote process, ensuring the tint depth and encapsulation profile are identical to the original.
