The Porsche 912 was produced from 1964 to 1989, spanning a classic era of lightweight sports-car engineering. Across its 25-year run, windscreen design evolved from simple laminated glass to variants equipped with aerials and sun-control tinting.
Early 912 models carry straightforward laminated windscreens, while later production introduced green-tinted laminated glass and, in some variants, integrated antenna elements for radio reception. The green sun strip—a gradient tint at the top of the windscreen—appears on select variants to reduce glare from above.
Because the 912 predates modern camera-based driver assistance systems, no ADAS calibration is required after replacement, making the job straightforward and mobile-friendly for most owners.
