The Mazda CX-9 has been in continuous production since 2007, evolving through two major generations with increasingly sophisticated glass and driver-assistance features. Early models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with basic fittings, while from around the mid-2010s onwards, CX-9 variants began featuring rain sensors and acoustic laminated glass as standard across trims.
From approximately 2016 onwards, Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE suite introduced front-facing windscreen cameras for lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision mitigation, and traffic sign recognition. These camera systems sit behind the windscreen and require recalibration after glass replacement.
