Suzuki Swift rear window price, by year

Rear-window pricing varies primarily by generation — earlier Swifts (1989–2000s) are among the most straightforward, whilst newer models (2010+) may carry tinted or special-finish variants that affect glass availability and cost. Generation differences in supply chains and tint specifications are the main drivers; ADAS complexity does not apply to the rear window.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £392 — £436 Price my 2026
2025 £392 — £436 Price my 2025
2024 £392 — £436 Price my 2024
2023 £392 — £436 Price my 2023

2021 £392 — £436 Price my 2021
2020 £392 — £436 Price my 2020

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Swifts can still be booked.

Replacement windscreen

When I needed a new windscreen in a hurry, UK Car Glass was able to provide a quote and fitting time very efficiently. Lots of communications from them by text message, WhatsApp, email and phone to confirm what was happening, and the windscreen was fitted on day agreed by a very competent installer. The only thing missing was confirmation of the two hour time slot when the fitter would arrive, hence only 4 stars.

Great service

Great service. They were able to come out to my address next working day and for a new windscreen. Steve was friendly and was finished within 40 minutes and explained after how long to leave it for etc. Price was reasonable and about £250 cheaper than auto glass quoted! Would definitely recommend.

What to expect during your Suzuki Swift rear window replacement

Booking your Suzuki Swift rear-window replacement takes just a few steps, from instant quote to fitting day.

  1. 1

Answer a quick online quiz about your Swift (year, trim, any tinting options) — takes under a minute.

  2. 2

You'll receive an instant quote with availability.

  3. 3

Confirm your booking online; we'll match you with an approved fitter in your area.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the technician replaces your shattered rear window — typically takes 30–60 minutes, depending on your vehicle.

  5. 5

Your fitter will clear accessible glass shards during the job, but for a thorough interior clean afterwards, a professional valet is recommended.

  6. 6

Two-year warranty on the glass and workmanship covers any issues from the replacement.

Drive away the same day with a new rear window backed by our network's guarantee and two-year warranty.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Swift?

Most Suzuki Swift rear-window replacements are carried out mobile — the technician visits you, replaces the glass at your address, and you're ready to drive. Because the Swift's rear window has no ADAS camera or complex sensors, workshop facilities are rarely needed.

Weather can occasionally influence the decision to use a workshop instead, but this is decided case-by-case. Your fitter will advise at the point of booking if a workshop visit suits your job better.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen6
    1989–2026

On the Suzuki Swift: fitted on 6 of the 7 rear window variants we list (86%); model years 1989–2026.

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

  • Blue2
    1989–2005

On the Suzuki Swift: fitted on 2 of the 7 rear window variants we list (29%); model years 1989–2005.

    What it means

A very subtle tint that's particularly hard to spot without close inspection, present on around 85% of modern vehicle glass.

    On your Suzuki Swift

Visible only on certain angles and lighting — our parts-check team confirms if your variant carries this.

  • Green2
    2010–2026

On the Suzuki Swift: fitted on 2 of the 7 rear window variants we list (29%); model years 2010–2026.

    What it means

A subtle tint present on approximately 90% of all vehicle glass — easily missed if you're not looking carefully.

    On your Suzuki Swift

Confirmed during the quote process; tint colour matches your original factory specification.

  • Grey Privacy2
    2010–2026

On the Suzuki Swift: fitted on 2 of the 7 rear window variants we list (29%); model years 2010–2026.

Dark grey tint on rear windows provides privacy and reduces interior heat and glare.

    What it means

Dark grey tint, formally known as privacy glass, is a factory-applied tint created through a deep-dipping process during glass manufacture. The pigment is infused into the inner surface of the glass, darkening the rear windows (and sometimes rear doors) significantly more than the front. This reduces heat transmission, minimises glare, and obscures the interior from outside view. It's standard on the rear half of many modern vehicles.

    How to tell

Compare the rear side windows and rear window (backlight) to the front side windows — the rear glass will be noticeably darker. Check your vehicle documents or ask your dealership service centre if you're unsure whether your car left the factory with privacy glass.

    Replacement impact

Dark grey tinted glass must be sourced from the Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) or dealership to ensure colour and transmission match your vehicle's existing rear glass. The tint is integral to the glass itself, not a surface coating, so aftermarket non-tinted glass will look visibly mismatched. Replacement does not require any calibration and follows standard bonded-glass cure times for rear windows.

  • Clear1
    1989–1996Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Suzuki Swift: fitted on 1 of the 7 rear window variants we list (14%); model years 1989–1996; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings.

About the Suzuki Swift

The Suzuki Swift has been a stalwart of the compact car market since 1989, spanning multiple generations of refinement and style. Across its lifespan, the Swift's rear window has remained a straightforward toughened-glass panel — direct and functional, with no complex embedded systems or calibration requirements.

Earlier generations kept things simple; more recent Swifts from the 2010s onwards introduced subtle tinting options on rear windows to match modern aesthetic trends. Because the rear window carries no sensors or safety systems, replacement is typically faster and more straightforward than windscreen work, and there's no post-fit calibration needed.

Suzuki has not yet widely adopted front-camera ADAS on the Swift, so owners benefit from simpler, quicker rear-window fits without the complication of camera-dependent systems.
