Peugeot 4007 rear window price, by year

Rear-window pricing for the 4007 is straightforward, as all variants within the production run share the same basic rear-glass specification. Variation is minimal because the model predates the ADAS era and carries no integrated features like privacy tint or heated elements on the rear window. Your fitter will confirm the exact specification during the parts check after booking.

5 stars from start to finish

I received an instant quote from UK Car Glass, £200 cheaper than a competitor for a full windscreen replacement. Booked it, technician arrived when he said he would, communication throughout was outstanding and the work done was top notch. I couldn't fault the service I received, 5 stars.

Booking on line took order and confirmed the window screen replacement for this Tuesday, arranged to travel and take time from work only to get an email today to say can not be done until next week. Terrible service (or lack of service)

Misleading pricing practice

I submitted the details of my vehicle including license plate (from which they can get the VIN) and was given a quote for a replacement windscreen with calibration and home installation. It was a good price compared to competitors and the technician would have been able to repair at home. I accepted the quote and made payment for £889.11, and waited for the confirmation of date and time of installment. 18 hours later I received a call saying that a technician would be able to come out tomorrow to install, however the price quoted was incorrect and in fact it would be £200 more expensive as they got the windscreen part number wrong. Very annoying and potentially misleading pricing practice. I told them to recredit my card and that I would look elsewhere

What to expect during your Peugeot 4007 rear window replacement

Rear-window replacement is a mobile-friendly job that your fitter can typically complete at your preferred location.

  1. 1

Complete an instant online quote through our guided widget in under 60 seconds — just a few quick questions about your 4007.

  2. 2

Review the quote and book your fitting slot; the whole booking takes under two minutes.

  3. 3

Our team matches you with an approved fitter in your area and runs a parts check to confirm your exact rear-glass variant.

  4. 4

Your fitter arrives at your address (or workshop if you prefer) with the replacement glass and removes the shattered original — shard cleanup is part of the job, though small fragments can lodge in places that need deeper access afterwards.

  5. 5

The new toughened rear window is fitted and sealed; your fitter confirms the car is ready to drive and any aftercare steps.

  6. 6

We recommend a professional valet or interior detailing in the days after fitting to ensure any fine glass particles are thoroughly removed.

Your replacement glass is backed by a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your 4007?

The Peugeot 4007 rear window is typically fitted mobile at your home or workplace because this generation has no ADAS camera to calibrate afterwards. Your fitter can bring all necessary tools and adhesive to complete the job on your driveway. If you prefer a workshop setting or live in an area where mobile access is difficult, arrange that preference during booking — either location works equally well.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Grey Privacy1
    2007–2012

Dark grey tint on rear windows provides privacy and reduces interior heat and glare.

    What it means

Dark grey tint, formally known as privacy glass, is a factory-applied tint created through a deep-dipping process during glass manufacture. The pigment is infused into the inner surface of the glass, darkening the rear windows (and sometimes rear doors) significantly more than the front. This reduces heat transmission, minimises glare, and obscures the interior from outside view. It's standard on the rear half of many modern vehicles.

    How to tell

Compare the rear side windows and rear window (backlight) to the front side windows — the rear glass will be noticeably darker. Check your vehicle documents or ask your dealership service centre if you're unsure whether your car left the factory with privacy glass.

    Replacement impact

Dark grey tinted glass must be sourced from the Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) or dealership to ensure colour and transmission match your vehicle's existing rear glass. The tint is integral to the glass itself, not a surface coating, so aftermarket non-tinted glass will look visibly mismatched. Replacement does not require any calibration and follows standard bonded-glass cure times for rear windows.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen1
    2007–2012

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

About the Peugeot 4007

The Peugeot 4007 was produced from 2007 to 2012 as a mid-size SUV, offering a practical rear-window design typical of its era. Early models carry straightforward toughened rear glass without integrated features, making replacement straightforward across the production run.

This generation predates Peugeot's front-camera ADAS era — the 4007 does not carry driver-assistance systems that would require windscreen-camera calibration. Rear-window replacement is therefore a standard glass-swap job with no additional electronic recalibration needed.
