Seat Cordoba windscreen price, by year

Price variation depends on whether your Cordoba carries optional features like solar-control glass or rain-sensor compatibility. Earlier models from the late 1990s and early 2000s without these additions tend to be more affordable, while variants with solar or sensor integration involve slightly more complex sourcing and calibration.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Seat Cordoba windscreen replacement

Booking a Cordoba windscreen replacement through UK Car Glass is straightforward — from initial quote to fitting takes just a few simple steps.

  1. 1

Complete an instant online quote using our quick quiz — typical windscreen models are identified in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Our parts-check team verifies your exact glass specification once you've booked, confirming encapsulation style and any tint or sensor brackets.

  3. 3

You're matched with an approved fitter in your area who stocks the correct variant for your Cordoba.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the fitter typically completes the job in under two hours — longer if additional work is needed on the frame or bonding area.

  5. 5

Fitter confirms your minimum drive-away time (usually within a few hours, depending on adhesive and weather) before leaving.

  6. 6

Your replacement glass carries a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Once fitted, your replacement windscreen is legal for UK roads and matched to your Cordoba's factory specification.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Cordoba?

The Seat Cordoba range (1999–2009) does not include ADAS or camera-based driver-assistance systems, so most replacements are completed mobile at your address. Fitting typically takes 45–90 minutes of the technician's time depending on the specific year and frame condition.

Workshop visits are occasionally needed if the windscreen frame shows corrosion or if weather conditions make mobile fitting impractical — your fitter will advise on booking day.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Green4
    1999–2009

On the Seat Cordoba: fitted on every one of the 4 windscreen variants we list; model years 1999–2009.

    What it means

A subtle green tint present in almost all modern windscreen glass, designed to reduce light transmission and improve cabin comfort.

    On your Seat Cordoba

Standard across all seven variants in our Cordoba range — confirmed during your quote.

  • Solar Control2
    2002–2009

On the Seat Cordoba: fitted on 2 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2002–2009.

    What it means

A special coating that absorbs the sun's infrared rays, reducing cabin temperature and improving air-conditioning efficiency.

    On your Seat Cordoba

Found on select higher-specification models; confirmed when you provide your exact variant details during the quote.

  • Vin Notch2
    2002–2009

On the Seat Cordoba: fitted on 2 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2002–2009.

    What it means

A small rectangular box at the bottom of the windscreen displaying the vehicle identification number (chassis code).

    On your Seat Cordoba

Standard on some Cordoba variants; confirmed during the quote and verified by the parts-check team.

  • Green Sun Strip1
    1999–2003

On the Seat Cordoba: fitted on 1 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (25%); model years 1999–2003.

A green-tinted band at the windscreen's top edge that reduces glare from sunlight above.

    What it means

A green sun strip is a graduated tint band integrated into the windscreen's laminate at the upper edge. It filters intense sunlight and glare from above — particularly useful on motorways and in bright conditions — whilst maintaining clarity through the main viewing area below. The tint is permanent, fused into the laminate layer during manufacture, and cannot be applied or removed afterwards. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature because they must be built into the laminate during production; side and rear glass cannot carry them as they are typically toughened rather than laminated.

    How to tell

Look at the top edge of your windscreen from the inside. A sun strip appears as a distinct green-tinted gradient band that fades from darker at the very top to clear below. It is visible whether the car is parked or moving. You can also check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership or current service centre to confirm whether your windscreen includes a sun strip.

    Replacement impact

The replacement windscreen must be the green sun strip variant to match your original. This is not a post-fit addition; it must be ordered as part of the glass itself. Availability is usually straightforward for current and recent models from major manufacturers, though older or less common variants may require a longer lead time. The sun strip does not affect calibration requirements or cure time — it is simply a laminate feature and does not complicate the fitting process.

  • Rain Sensor1
    2002–2009No calibration after replacement

On the Seat Cordoba: fitted on 1 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (25%); model years 2002–2009; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor behind the windscreen that detects rain and automatically triggers the wipers.

    On your Seat Cordoba

Present on certain later variants; the sensor bracket is integrated into the glass and flagged during the parts-check phase of your booking.

About the Seat Cordoba

The Seat Cordoba has been in continuous production since 1999, spanning two distinct generations with notable differences in glass specification. Early models from the late 1990s and 2000s carry straightforward laminated windscreens with basic encapsulation, while later variants introduced solar-control and sun-strip options to reduce cabin heat and glare.

All Cordoba windscreens in our catalogue feature a green tint and factory-bonded rubber gaskets (encapsulation), making replacement straightforward. A small number of higher-specification models add solar-control coating or grey sun-strip protection; some variants include rain sensors for automatic wiper activation.
