Kia Stonic windscreen price, by year

Prices vary based on the presence of ADAS camera systems and calibration requirements. Earlier Stonics without DriveWise cameras are typically more affordable to replace. Later models equipped with forward-facing cameras and static calibration demands incur higher costs owing to the additional technical work required after the glass is fitted.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Stonic?

Most Stonics with ADAS cameras require static calibration after windscreen replacement, which must be done at a workshop using printed target boards and diagnostic equipment. If your Stonic carries a DriveWise camera, your fitter will schedule the entire job — replacement and calibration — at their workshop to ensure the process is completed safely and accurately.

Mobile fitting at your home is available for camera-free variants, or by prior arrangement if calibration isn't required. Either way, your fitter will confirm the location and timing when you book.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

    On your Kia Stonic

Present on every Stonic variant in our catalogue. You'll see it when comparing the windscreen glass to side windows in bright light.

  • Vin Notch3

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    2017–2021

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021.

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Bracket For Safety Features1
    2017–2021Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A moulded plastic trim cover that surrounds the camera and sensor cluster near the rear-view mirror, holding the ADAS hardware securely in place.

    On your Kia Stonic

Visible as a dark plastic shroud around the top-centre of the windscreen interior. On replacement, this is typically transferred from your old glass or supplied with the new one.

  • Defogging Detector1
    2017–2021

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021.

A defogging detector automatically clears condensation from your windscreen, improving visibility in damp conditions.

    What it means

A defogging detector is a sensor that monitors moisture levels on the windscreen and triggers the demister system automatically when condensation builds up. It improves driver visibility and safety in damp or cold weather by preventing manual intervention. The sensor typically sits near the rear-view mirror, positioned to sense moisture accumulation on the glass surface.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or ask your dealer's service centre whether your model includes an automatic defogging or moisture-sensing demister. Look near the rear-view mirror for a small sensor unit. Some vehicles display an indicator light or message on the dashboard when the system is active.

    Replacement impact

The defogging detector does not affect windscreen replacement or require recalibration after fitting. The sensor itself remains in place and continues to function once the new windscreen is installed. No additional calibration, cure time, or specialist procedures are needed.

  • Rain Sensor1
    2017–2021No calibration after replacement

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor that detects rainfall and automatically activates the windscreen wipers — adds convenience in wet weather.

    On your Kia Stonic

Check whether your wipers activate automatically when it rains. Rain sensors are fitted to select Stonic trims and model years; confirmed during the quote.

  • Solar Control1
    2017–2021

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021.

    What it means

A special coating on the glass that absorbs infrared rays from the sun, reducing interior heat buildup and improving cabin comfort.

    On your Kia Stonic

Solar-control glass is an option on certain Stonic trim levels. Your fitter will identify it during the parts check.

  • Static Camera Calibration Process1
    2017–2021Static calibration required

On the Kia Stonic: fitted on 1 of the 3 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 2017–2021; static calibration required.

    What it means

After windscreen replacement, the forward-facing ADAS camera is recalibrated using printed targets and diagnostic tools to ensure accurate lane and collision detection.

    On your Kia Stonic

Required on most modern Kia Stonics with DriveWise cameras. Your fitter will complete this at a workshop with the correct calibration equipment.

About the Kia Stonic

The Kia Stonic is a compact crossover that launched in 2017, offering practicality and affordability across its range. All Stonic windscreens feature a green tint and a VIN notch for identification, with most carrying the visual hallmarks of modern safety systems.

From around the mid-2020s variant era, Kia began integrating its DriveWise ADAS suite into the Stonic, introducing forward-facing windscreen cameras for lane departure warning and collision-avoidance functions. Most modern Stonics now carry these camera systems, which require static calibration after glass replacement to ensure safe operation.

Replacement glass matches your original specification, and specialists on our network handle any calibration needed on the day — typically completed at a workshop to ensure accuracy.
