Citroen C4 Cactus windscreen price, by year

Prices vary depending on the generation and specification of your C4 Cactus. Older models without driver assistance are more straightforward; newer variants equipped with camera-based ADAS systems and acoustic or solar-control glass involve higher calibration complexity after fitting.

Solar-control and acoustic options, where fitted, also influence final cost. Your specialist will confirm the exact variant during the parts-check phase of your booking.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Citroen C4 Cactus windscreen replacement

Booking your C4 Cactus windscreen replacement is straightforward and takes just two minutes online.

  1. 1

Answer a short quiz about your model year, trim, and key features — our system identifies your exact variant in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Confirm your booking details and choose whether you prefer a mobile visit to your address or a workshop appointment.

  3. 3

We match you with a local specialist from our network who has handled your variant before.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your technician will carry out a parts check to confirm the glass spec, then replace the windscreen — typically completed within a couple of hours.

  5. 5

If your C4 Cactus has a camera system, static calibration runs in parallel with the adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend your drive-away time.

  6. 6

Your fitter will confirm the minimum drive-away time before leaving, and your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty.

From booking to fitting, you're supported by our network of trusted local specialists.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your C4 Cactus?

Most C4 Cactus windscreen replacements can be completed at your home or workplace via mobile fitting. However, if your variant includes a camera-based driver assistance system, static calibration must be carried out in a controlled workshop environment after the glass is fitted.

When calibration is required, the entire job — replacement and calibration together — is scheduled at the workshop to ensure the safety-critical system is properly completed in one visit. Your specialist will confirm the location during booking.

  • Light Sensor3
    2014–2020

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 3 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2014–2020.

Light sensors automatically turn your headlights on at dusk or in tunnels; the replacement windscreen must include the sensor bracket.

    What it means

A light sensor is a small optical detector mounted on the windscreen or dashboard that monitors ambient light levels. When light drops below a threshold—at dusk or when entering a tunnel—it triggers your headlights to switch on automatically. This removes the need to manually operate the lights and improves safety by ensuring visibility when conditions darken suddenly. The sensor is typically mounted behind the windscreen's top edge or integrated into the interior mirror housing, where it has an unobstructed view of the sky.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or ask your dealer whether your car has automatic headlight control or 'auto lights' as a feature. If equipped, you'll see a symbol on the stalk or dashboard dial marked with a light-bulb icon or 'AUTO' setting. When you select this mode and the ambient light dims, the headlights activate without manual input. Not all cars have this feature; it's typically found on newer or higher-specification models.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen on a vehicle with a light sensor, the replacement glass must include the correct sensor bracket or mounting point to preserve the auto-headlight function. The sensor itself does not require software calibration—it relies on physical positioning behind the windscreen's upper trim or within the mirror assembly. Ensuring the bracket is correctly installed during the fit is essential; if omitted, the auto-light feature will fail and cannot be restored without additional parts and labour.

  • Rain Sensor3
    2014–2020No calibration after replacement

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 3 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2014–2020; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An embedded sensor that automatically activates your wipers when it detects rainfall, adjusting speed based on rain intensity.

    On your Citroen C4 Cactus

Found on certain mid-range and higher trims — your specialist will confirm if your model carries this feature.

  • Solar Control3
    2014–2020

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 3 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2014–2020.

    What it means

A specialised coating that absorbs the sun's infrared rays, keeping your cabin cooler and reducing air-conditioning load on hot days.

    On your Citroen C4 Cactus

Typically fitted on higher trim levels and more recent model years — your technician will identify it during the parts-check phase.

  • Bracket For Safety Features1
    2017–2020Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 1 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (17%); model years 2017–2020; calibration varies by vehicle.

The moulded trim that surrounds your camera and sensor cluster at the top of the windscreen, typically transferred or supplied with replacement glass.

    What it means

A bracket for safety features is the moulded plastic or composite shroud that sits at the top of the windscreen, framing and protecting the camera and sensor cluster mounted behind the rear-view mirror. This trim cover houses forward-facing driver-assistance cameras and sensors — equipment that monitors the road ahead for lane-keeping, collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and similar safety functions. The bracket itself is part of the vehicle's structural frame, but the trim cover you see is what protects and aesthetically integrates the technology into the windscreen area.

    How to tell

Look at the top centre of your windscreen, just above or around the rear-view mirror. If you see a dark moulded shroud or trim panel — often rectangular or tapered — with a visible lens or sensor window, your vehicle has a bracket for safety features. Your service history or handbook will list any ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technologies fitted. Ask your dealer or service centre if your vehicle has forward-facing cameras or sensors; if it does, you have a bracket for safety features.

    Replacement impact

On windscreen replacement, the trim cover is typically transferred from your old glass to the new one, or supplied pre-integrated with the replacement depending on the variant. This means minimal disruption to your safety system during the swap. However, if the bracket requires recalibration after glass replacement — which depends on your specific vehicle and camera type — the job may require static calibration (using a target board) or dynamic calibration (a road drive). We confirm the exact calibration procedure when we look up your vehicle.

  • Dynamic Camera Calibration Process1
    2017–2020Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 1 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (17%); model years 2017–2020; calibration varies by vehicle.

Dynamic calibration uses road driving to recalibrate your camera after windscreen replacement.

    What it means

Dynamic camera calibration is a procedure in which a technician drives the vehicle on marked roads at set speeds after the windscreen has been fitted and the adhesive has cured. During this drive, the forward-facing camera relearns its reference points — lane markings, road signs, road edges and surrounding traffic patterns — so it can resume accurate operation of camera-dependent safety and driver-assistance systems. This recalibration is necessary because any windscreen replacement, even with precision fitting, can introduce small shifts in the camera's optical alignment relative to the road.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or contact your dealer to confirm whether your car has a forward-facing camera system. If it does, ask the dealer whether your specific model requires dynamic (road-drive) or static (target-board) calibration after windscreen replacement. You can also ask your fitter — they will establish this when they look up your vehicle's specification.

    Replacement impact

After your windscreen is fitted and the bonding has cured, a technician will drive the vehicle on marked roads at controlled speeds to allow the camera to relearn its environment. This extends the overall job duration beyond the glass-fitting time alone. Depending on your vehicle, calibration may be performed during the same visit or scheduled separately. We confirm the exact procedure and location (mobile or workshop) when we look up your specific vehicle.

  • Mono Camera1
    2017–2020Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Citroen C4 Cactus: fitted on 1 of the 6 windscreen variants we list (17%); model years 2017–2020; calibration varies by vehicle.

A single camera mounted near the rear-view mirror that helps with lane-keeping and collision avoidance.

    What it means

A mono camera is a single-lens camera positioned behind the windscreen, typically in the upper centre area near the rear-view mirror. It captures the road ahead and uses computer vision to detect lane markings, vehicles, and road hazards. The camera feeds data to driver-assistance systems such as lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning. It forms the visual foundation of these safety features, allowing the vehicle to monitor road position and surrounding traffic automatically.

    How to tell

Look in the black trim area above the windscreen, centred behind the rear-view mirror — you will see a small triangular lens assembly or dark lens cover. Check your vehicle handbook or ask your dealer's service department to confirm your model has lane-assistance or collision-warning features; vehicles with these systems almost always have a mono camera. Dashboard warning symbols related to lane or collision systems also indicate the presence of this camera.

    Replacement impact

When the windscreen is replaced, the camera bracket and lens assembly must be removed and carefully repositioned on the new glass. The camera may require calibration after fitting to ensure accurate road detection and lane recognition. Calibration needs vary by vehicle — we confirm the exact procedure when we look up your specific vehicle. The job may take longer than a standard windscreen replacement, and workshop facilities may be required if calibration demands a controlled environment.

About the Citroen C4 Cactus

The Citroën C4 Cactus has been in production since 2014, offering a distinctive compact crossover design that appeals to urban and suburban drivers. All current variants feature encapsulated windscreens with a subtle green tint and VIN notch along the bottom edge.

From the mid-2010s onwards, higher trim levels introduced optional solar-control glass to reduce cabin heat, whilst some variants added acoustic interlayers for improved noise dampening. The most recent models in our catalogue (from approximately 2020 onwards) may include camera-based driver assistance systems — Highway Driver Assist or Safety Pack Plus — which require specialist calibration after windscreen replacement.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Only if your model is equipped with Highway Driver Assist or Safety Pack Plus (typically 2020 onwards). Newer ADAS-equipped variants require static camera calibration after the glass is fitted, which is carried out at a workshop in a controlled environment.

Calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't delay your drive-away time — your specialist will confirm the exact timing on the day.

Yes. Your replacement glass is matched to your factory specification during the parts-check phase of your booking. All current C4 Cactus variants come with encapsulated windscreens featuring a green tint and VIN notch; if your model also carries solar-control or acoustic options, those are included in your replacement.

Mobile fitting brings the specialist to your address — convenient and typically faster for straightforward jobs. Workshop fitting is necessary when your variant requires ADAS camera calibration, which must be done in a controlled environment with proper target equipment.

If calibration is needed, we schedule the complete job at a workshop to keep you accountable to the safety-critical process.

Typically the fitter needs 45–90 minutes of active working time, depending on your specific variant and whether calibration is involved. If your model has a camera system, calibration adds to the fitter's time but runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so your drive-away time stays the same.

Your specialist will give you a full time estimate before starting and confirm the minimum drive-away window before you leave.
