Citroen C1 windscreen price, by year

Replacement costs vary primarily with generation and ADAS equipment. Earlier C1 models without camera systems are typically the most affordable to replace. Newer variants equipped with Highway Driver Assist or Safety Pack Plus carry higher costs because they require professional static camera calibration after the glass is fitted, which must be completed at a workshop.

Great Company.

I had enqiured about a front passenger window and booked for thr next day to have it fitted. The company were so great! They had to change the date as the installation guy was busy, but they offered me a refund if I couldn't do the next day they advised which was only 2 days later and not an issue. They communicated with me well letting me know before they were due to arrive by giving me an estimated time and a message when they weren't too far they also had the job done so quick just over half hour. It was the cheapest quote I had been given, plus they came to my house which made it much easier. If I'm unlucky enough to have my window put through again, I'd go to UK car glass again!

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your C1?

Most C1 windscreen replacements can be fitted at your address using mobile fitting, with your fitter completing the work typically on your driveway. However, if your C1 is equipped with a camera-based ADAS system, static calibration is required after the glass is set and must be carried out at a workshop with proper target boards in a controlled environment.

UK Car Glass doesn't split jobs across locations — if calibration is needed, both the replacement and calibration are scheduled at the workshop in one visit.

About the Citroen C1

The Citroën C1 has been in continuous production since 2005, evolving through three generations of affordable, practical city cars. Early models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal electronic features, while later variants from the early 2010s onwards introduced green-tinted glass and solar-control coatings to improve cabin comfort.

From approximately 2020, newer C1 models began incorporating front-facing camera systems as part of Citroën's Highway Driver Assist and Safety Pack Plus ADAS suites, adding calibration requirements after windscreen replacement. These systems rely on a front camera bracket mounted behind the windscreen.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Only some C1 variants from approximately 2020 onwards carry front cameras for Highway Driver Assist or Safety Pack Plus. If your C1 has one, you'll notice one or two small triangular shapes in the black field near the rear-view mirror. The quote process confirms this — you don't need to self-inspect.

If your C1 has a camera system for ADAS (lane keeping, adaptive cruise), yes — static calibration is essential after windscreen replacement to ensure safe operation. This is scheduled at a workshop and completed as part of the same appointment. Models without ADAS have no calibration requirement.

Earlier C1 models (2005–early 2010s) have simpler laminated windscreens and typically mobile-fit in 45–90 minutes. Newer C1s from around 2020 onwards feature camera-mounted windscreens and require workshop-based ADAS calibration, which extends the specialist's time on the job but doesn't affect your drive-away time because calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure.

Your fitter will confirm the specific minimum drive-away time before they leave — typically based on the polyurethane adhesive product used and the day's ambient conditions. Driving before this time can compromise the bond. Calibration, if needed, runs in the background and doesn't extend your drive-away window.
