The Chevrolet Suburban has been America's iconic full-size SUV since 1935, with continuous production and regular generational updates ensuring steady availability of replacement glass.
Modern Suburbans feature laminated windscreens with a green tint that's present across all variants, alongside solar-control glass designed to reduce interior heat from the sun's infrared rays. Some variants also include a blue sun strip across the top of the windscreen, encapsulated trim bonding, rain sensors for automatic wiper activation, and a VIN notch stamped along the bottom edge.
From 2020 onwards, most Chevrolet commercial vehicles—including newer Suburbans equipped with Chevy Safety Assist—carry a forward-facing camera mounted to the windscreen for features like automatic emergency braking and forward collision alert. Windscreen replacement on these models requires ADAS recalibration after the glass is fitted.
