The Chevrolet Cruze has been in continuous production from 2009 to 2020, spanning two main generations with distinct windscreen specifications.
Earlier Cruze models feature straightforward laminated windscreens with a blue sun strip and green tint, whilst later variants add solar-control coating to reduce infrared heat gain. Most Cruze windscreens carry a VIN notch along the bottom and factory-fitted hardware bonded to the glass.
From 2020 onwards, Chevy Safety Assist camera systems began appearing on newer commercial Chevrolet vehicles, requiring ADAS recalibration after windscreen replacement — though the Cruze's 2009–2020 production run predates widespread adoption of this technology on this model.
