Vauxhall Meriva rear window price, by year

Rear-window pricing varies primarily with generation and tint specification — earlier 2003–2010 models are generally the most affordable, whilst later variants with solar-control glass or privacy tint carry slightly higher costs. The straightforward nature of Meriva rear-window replacement (no ADAS calibration) keeps costs competitive across the range.

10/10 service

the service i received right from my first phone call on the 29/9/23 was outstanding they explained all that i needed to know and the price of the replacement window which was a lot cheaper than the of other quotes that i was given by other suppliers. Also, they came the very next morning to fit the new window. Paul Lombard the fitter did an excellent job and I can't praise him enough. He hoovered everywhere including the pavement which I was very impressed about.

  4. 4

A technician from our network arrives to remove the shattered rear window and fit your replacement.

  5. 5

Shard cleanup is part of the job, though small fragments can lodge in places that need deeper access — we recommend a professional valet afterwards for a thorough interior clean.

From booking to fitting, the process is designed for speed and transparency.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Meriva?

Most Meriva rear-window replacements happen mobile at your address — no calibration or complex camera work is involved. Choose workshop fitting if you prefer, or if weather or access at home makes mobile inconvenient. Mobile fits the car quickly and keeps your routine uninterrupted.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen4
    2003–2017

On the Vauxhall Meriva: fitted on every one of the 4 rear window variants we list; model years 2003–2017.

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

    2003–2017

On the Vauxhall Meriva: fitted on 2 of the 4 rear window variants we list (50%); model years 2003–2017.

    What it means

The glass has a solar-control coating that absorbs infrared rays, helping reduce cabin heat.

    On your Vauxhall Meriva

Typically found on higher-specification or later Meriva models — your fitter will verify this during the parts check.

On the Vauxhall Meriva: fitted on 1 of the 4 rear window variants we list (25%); model years 2003–2010.

Dark green tint on rear and side windows is a factory colour choice, not a safety or performance feature.

    What it means

Dark green is a factory tint applied to the glass during manufacture. It's purely aesthetic — a colour variant chosen by the vehicle designer to complement the body paint and interior trim. Unlike some tints that reduce solar heat or glare, dark green is decorative. Most vehicles have standard or light green glass; dark green is less common and typically found on specific trim levels or model years.

    How to tell

Look at your rear and side windows from outside the car in daylight. If they appear noticeably darker or more saturated green than the front windscreen, you likely have dark green glass. You can also check your vehicle's specification sheet from the dealer or original documentation — tint colour is sometimes listed under 'glass' or 'exterior finishes'. If uncertain, ask your local dealership service centre.

    Replacement impact

Dark green replacement glass must match the original tint colour exactly — a standard or light green windscreen will look visibly mismatched against dark green rear windows. Sourcing the correct variant can take slightly longer than standard glass, as it's less common. No calibration is involved with tinted glass itself. Fitting and cure time are unaffected.

About the Vauxhall Meriva

The Vauxhall Meriva has been in continuous production since 2003, spanning two generations with consistent rear-window design across its lifespan. Owners typically encounter either clear or lightly tinted rear glass, depending on specification and trim level.

Tint options and solar-control glass appear on select variants, affecting both the appearance and thermal performance of the rear window. Meriva models do not carry advanced driver-assistance systems with camera brackets, so rear-window replacement remains straightforward without calibration requirements.
