Seat Ibiza windscreen price, by year

Prices vary with generation and trim specification. Early-2000s models without rain sensors or encapsulation are typically the most affordable. Later variants with solar-control glass, acoustic interlayers, or camera systems carry higher costs due to the complexity of sourcing the correct specification and, where applicable, the calibration required after fitting.

Great price, fast, easy

This was fast, easy service at an amazing price - 60% cheaper than autoglass quoted! Booking online was easy and was only a day later to fit. Mark arrived at my home, wasn’t at all perturbed that I needed to be on a zoom whilst he was there, fitted it, dropped back the keys and was gone. Window is fitted and goes up and down. What more can you ask.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Seat Ibiza windscreen replacement

Booking through UK Car Glass is straightforward — from instant quote to fitting day takes just a few steps.

  1. 1

Start with our online quote tool: answer a few questions about your Ibiza (year, trim, features) and receive an instant price in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Once you've booked, our parts-check team confirms your exact windscreen specification — green tint, encapsulation, rain sensor, camera bracket, or any other factory feature.

  3. 3

We match you with an approved fitter in your area who sources glass matching your original factory spec and schedules a convenient time.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the technician removes your damaged windscreen, prepares the frame, and bonds the new glass. Typical technician time is 45–90 minutes, depending on your vehicle.

  5. 5

If your Ibiza has a camera system, the fitter completes static calibration after the glass is set — this runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend your drive-away time.

  6. 6

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time before leaving, and your windscreen is covered by our two-year warranty against workmanship and defects.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Ibiza?

Most Seat Ibiza windscreen replacements are carried out at your home or workplace — our network of local technicians visits you with the glass and tools needed. Workshop visits are arranged only when your specific Ibiza variant requires static camera calibration after fitting, which requires a controlled environment with target boards. The decision is made during your quote; if a workshop visit is needed, the entire job (replacement and calibration) is scheduled in one location to keep you in control.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

    What it means

An optical sensor embedded in the glass that automatically activates your wipers when rain is detected — a convenience and safety feature.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Present on approximately one-third of our catalogued Ibizas, especially from the 2000s onwards; confirmed at the parts check.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)6
    2013–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 6 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (22%); model years 2013–2026.

    What it means

A specialised interlayer that absorbs sound vibrations, cutting road and wind noise in the cabin — found on higher-spec or more recent models.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Look for the word 'Acoustic' or 'SoundScreen' marked on the original glass, or it will be confirmed during the quote if your trim included this option.

  • Antenna5
    2015–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 5 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (19%); model years 2015–2026.

An aerial laminated into the windscreen or rear window restores radio, DAB or TV reception without a roof-mounted mast.

    What it means

An antenna is a conductive print laminated into the glass during manufacture, typically used for radio, DAB (digital audio broadcasting) or television reception. It replaces the traditional roof-mounted aerial mast found on older vehicles. The antenna is integrated into the glass interlayer and connected to the vehicle's receiver unit via a connector embedded in the glass edge. This design offers a cleaner aesthetic, reduces wind noise, and eliminates the vulnerability of a protruding mast to damage or theft.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's roof — if there is no visible aerial mast, your car likely has a laminated antenna. You can also ask your dealer or service centre whether your windscreen or rear window carries an antenna print. The connector may be visible on the glass edge or inside the door frame trim.

    Replacement impact

When replacing glass with a laminated antenna, the replacement must carry the matching antenna print and connector to restore reception immediately on fitting. Aftermarket or original-equipment glass with the correct antenna specification is essential; a plain replacement will leave you without radio or DAB signal. Our fitters verify the antenna specification during booking and source the correct variant before the appointment.

  • Light Sensor3
    2008–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 3 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2008–2026.

Light sensors automatically turn your headlights on at dusk or in tunnels; the replacement windscreen must include the sensor bracket.

    What it means

A light sensor is a small optical detector mounted on the windscreen or dashboard that monitors ambient light levels. When light drops below a threshold—at dusk or when entering a tunnel—it triggers your headlights to switch on automatically. This removes the need to manually operate the lights and improves safety by ensuring visibility when conditions darken suddenly. The sensor is typically mounted behind the windscreen's top edge or integrated into the interior mirror housing, where it has an unobstructed view of the sky.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or ask your dealer whether your car has automatic headlight control or 'auto lights' as a feature. If equipped, you'll see a symbol on the stalk or dashboard dial marked with a light-bulb icon or 'AUTO' setting. When you select this mode and the ambient light dims, the headlights activate without manual input. Not all cars have this feature; it's typically found on newer or higher-specification models.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen on a vehicle with a light sensor, the replacement glass must include the correct sensor bracket or mounting point to preserve the auto-headlight function. The sensor itself does not require software calibration—it relies on physical positioning behind the windscreen's upper trim or within the mirror assembly. Ensuring the bracket is correctly installed during the fit is essential; if omitted, the auto-light feature will fail and cannot be restored without additional parts and labour.

  • Green Sun Strip2
    1993–1999

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 2 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (7%); model years 1993–1999.

A green-tinted band at the windscreen's top edge that reduces glare from sunlight above.

    What it means

A green sun strip is a graduated tint band integrated into the windscreen's laminate at the upper edge. It filters intense sunlight and glare from above — particularly useful on motorways and in bright conditions — whilst maintaining clarity through the main viewing area below. The tint is permanent, fused into the laminate layer during manufacture, and cannot be applied or removed afterwards. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature because they must be built into the laminate during production; side and rear glass cannot carry them as they are typically toughened rather than laminated.

    How to tell

Look at the top edge of your windscreen from the inside. A sun strip appears as a distinct green-tinted gradient band that fades from darker at the very top to clear below. It is visible whether the car is parked or moving. You can also check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership or current service centre to confirm whether your windscreen includes a sun strip.

    Replacement impact

The replacement windscreen must be the green sun strip variant to match your original. This is not a post-fit addition; it must be ordered as part of the glass itself. Availability is usually straightforward for current and recent models from major manufacturers, though older or less common variants may require a longer lead time. The sun strip does not affect calibration requirements or cure time — it is simply a laminate feature and does not complicate the fitting process.

  • Heat Absorbing PVB2
    2017–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 2 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (7%); model years 2017–2026.

Heat-absorbing PVB interlayer reduces solar gain and cabin temperature on warm days—but must match your original spec.

    What it means

Heat-absorbing PVB is a specially formulated interlayer sandwiched between the glass plies in your windscreen. It absorbs a portion of the sun's infrared radiation before it enters the cabin, reducing solar heat gain on warm days. This keeps the interior cooler and reduces air-conditioning workload. The feature is built into the glass during manufacture and cannot be added or removed after production. If your vehicle left the factory with this interlayer, any replacement windscreen must carry the same PVB specification to maintain the original thermal performance.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's specification sheet or handbook—heat-absorbing PVB is listed under windscreen or glass specification. You can also ask your dealership service centre or provide us with your vehicle registration; we'll confirm whether your car came with this feature as standard or as an option.

    Replacement impact

Replacement windscreens with heat-absorbing PVB must be sourced to the exact OE specification—aftermarket alternatives with standard PVB will not deliver the same solar-control performance. We ensure the correct spec is ordered before the fit. No calibration is required. Installation and cure procedures are identical to standard windscreen replacement; the interlayer is integral to the glass and requires no additional treatment.

  • Camera1
    2017–2024Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 1 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (4%); model years 2017–2024; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A forward-facing camera bracket mounted behind the windscreen to support driver-assistance systems like lane-keeping or adaptive cruise control.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Rare on Ibizas — only 1 of our 31 variants carries a camera. If your Ibiza has advanced driver aids, it will be flagged during the parts check.

Calibration mix across our Seat variants

    • 1Static

We confirm the exact procedure for your specific vehicle when you book.

  • Clear1
    1993–1996Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 1 of the 27 windscreen variants we list (4%); model years 1993–1996; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings. If your vehicle has ADAS features (forward-facing camera or radar), calibration may be required after replacement depending on your specific vehicle; we confirm this when we look up your car details.

About the Seat Ibiza

The Seat Ibiza has been in continuous production since 1985, evolving through five generations. Early models carried straightforward laminated windscreens, while later generations from the 2000s onwards introduced green-tinted glass, encapsulated trims, and rain sensors as standard.

From the mid-2010s, higher-trim variants began offering solar-control glass to reduce cabin heat on sunny days, and acoustic interlayers appeared on premium models to cut road noise. The most recent Ibiza generations introduced camera-equipped windscreens for driver-assistance systems, though this remains a less common feature across the range.

Most current Ibizas carry green-tinted windscreens with encapsulated rubber gaskets, making replacement straightforward — the new glass arrives trim-ready and bonds as one unit.
