MG Trophy windscreen price, by year

Because the Trophy range is recent and mechanically consistent, pricing variation is modest. The primary driver is the presence of ADAS camera recalibration, which requires specialist equipment and is typically completed at a workshop rather than roadside. Acoustic and green-tint glass are standard across the range, so no trim-based variation there.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £677 — £848 Price my 2026
2025 £677 — £848 Price my 2025
2024 £677 — £848 Price my 2024
2023 £677 — £677 Price my 2023
2022 £677 — £677 Price my 2022

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older MG Trophy models can still be booked.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your MG Trophy windscreen replacement

Booking your Trophy windscreen replacement is straightforward — from quote to fitting in a few simple steps.

  1. 1

Answer a quick online quiz about your Trophy (year, trim, features) to generate an instant quote.

  2. 2

Review the quote and book a fitting slot that suits you — mobile at your address or at a local workshop.

  3. 3

Our parts-check team confirms your exact windscreen specification (green tint, acoustic layer, encapsulation, camera bracket) ahead of the job.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your technician removes the damaged windscreen, prepares the frame, sets the new glass, and installs the camera bracket.

  5. 5

Camera recalibration is completed at a workshop (either where you booked or, if you chose mobile, scheduled as part of the same job at a nearby workshop).

  6. 6

You'll receive a two-year warranty on both the glass and the fitting workmanship.

From quote to the road, the process is designed to be simple — and your warranty covers any issues with the fit or glass quality.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Trophy?

All Trophy windscreen replacements involve ADAS camera recalibration after the glass is fitted, and this calibration requires specialist equipment and a workshop environment. While the glass replacement itself can happen at your home (mobile), the recalibration step is scheduled at a nearby workshop — either the same day or immediately after, depending on technician availability.

UKCG doesn't split the job across locations; your technician confirms the workshop booking and timing when you arrange your replacement.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

Your wipers automatically activate when rain falls on the windscreen.

    What it means

A rain sensor is a device mounted on or behind the windscreen that detects moisture and triggers the wiper system automatically. The sensor uses infrared light to measure water droplets on the glass surface and signals the vehicle's electrical system to engage the wipers without driver input. This feature improves safety in sudden downpours and reduces driver workload in variable weather conditions.

    How to tell

Check your windscreen for a small sensor unit, usually mounted near the top centre behind the glass or at the base of the mirror. Look for a small dark component or lens. If your vehicle has automatic wipers that activate without you toggling the stalk, you have a rain sensor. Ask your dealer or service centre to confirm; they can check your vehicle records or wiper module settings.

    Replacement impact

Rain sensors are non-structural elements and do not require recalibration after windscreen replacement. The sensor bracket or mounting may need careful removal and reinstallation to ensure it sits correctly behind the new glass. If the sensor itself is damaged during removal, a replacement unit may be needed. Your fitter will confirm the condition and refit or replace the sensor as part of the standard replacement procedure.

About the MG Trophy

The MG Trophy, launched in 2022, is a compact SUV designed for the modern UK market with contemporary glass and driver-assistance technology built in from the outset.

All Trophy models come equipped with MG Pilot, the brand's integrated ADAS suite, which uses a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen to support lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking. This means every Trophy windscreen replacement includes a camera recalibration step after fitting.

Your replacement glass will be matched to the factory specification — including the green tint, acoustic damping, encapsulation trim, and VIN notch that came on the original.

Some MG Trophy windscreens carry a camera that may need recalibrating after fitting. Read about ADAS calibration.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Yes — all Trophy models from 2022 onwards carry MG Pilot ADAS, which includes a forward-facing camera behind the windscreen. After your replacement glass is fitted, the camera must be recalibrated by an approved technician using specialist diagnostic equipment. This is factored into your booking and completed at a workshop as part of the same service day.

Green tint is standard on all Trophy windscreens — it's not optional. The tint is subtle but helps reduce solar heat gain. Your replacement will match this specification.

Yes — encapsulation (pre-moulded rubber gasket) is standard on all Trophy windscreens. Your replacement glass arrives with the trim already bonded, so the technician installs the whole unit together. No separate trim fitting is needed.

The glass replacement itself typically takes 45–90 minutes of the technician's time, depending on the vehicle's condition and any frame preparation needed. Camera recalibration is completed after the glass is set and runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend the time before you can drive away — though your technician will confirm the exact drive-away time on the day.
