Mercedes EQC windscreen price, by year

Pricing varies with generation and ADAS equipment fitted. Early-2019 EQC models without the Driver Assistance Package are typically more affordable; later variants from 2022 onwards with camera systems and calibration requirements carry higher costs due to the specialist technician time and equipment needed.

Acoustic glass, rain sensors, and the VIN notch are standard across all variants, so they don't create price variation — the main driver is whether your model needs post-replacement ADAS calibration.

Year Price range Quote
2024 £569 — £983 Price my 2024
2023 £569 — £983 Price my 2023
2022 £569 — £983 Price my 2022
2021 £569 — £983 Price my 2021
2020 £569 — £983 Price my 2020
2019 £569 — £983 Price my 2019

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Mercedes EQC models can still be booked.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Mercedes EQC windscreen replacement

Your booking flows in five clear stages: instant quote, parts check, technician match, fitting day, and aftercare.

  1. 1

Use our online widget to answer a few quick questions about your EQC's year and features. You'll receive an instant quote in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Our parts-check team confirms the exact windscreen variant and any camera bracket or trim details that apply to your car.

  3. 3

We match you with an approved fitter in your area — either for a mobile visit to your home or at a workshop, depending on whether ADAS calibration is required.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your fitter removes the old glass, inspects the frame, and installs your replacement windscreen. If camera calibration is needed, it runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so drive-away time is confirmed before they leave.

  5. 5

Your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality. We're here to support you if any issues arise.

Book in under two minutes and get back on the road with confidence.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your EQC?

Most EQC windscreen replacements can be done mobile at your home. However, if your model is fitted with the Driver Assistance Package and a front camera, static calibration is required after the glass is replaced — and this typically needs to be carried out at a workshop with calibration target boards and specialist diagnostic equipment.

When calibration is needed, the entire job (replacement and calibration) is scheduled at the workshop in one visit. Your fitter will confirm the location and timing during the booking process.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

  • Bracket For Safety Features3
    2019–2024Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mercedes EQC: fitted on 3 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (75%); model years 2019–2024; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

The moulded shroud that surrounds the camera and sensor cluster at the top of the windscreen, just around the rear-view mirror — typically transferred from your old glass to the new one.

    On your Mercedes EQC

Standard on camera-equipped EQC models from 2022 onwards; absent on earlier non-ADAS variants. Confirmed during the quote.

  • Camera2
    2019–2024Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mercedes EQC: fitted on 2 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2019–2024; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A front-mounted camera behind the windscreen that feeds the Driver Assistance Package — enables lane-keeping, collision warning, and traffic-sign recognition.

    On your Mercedes EQC

Fitted to most 2022–2024 EQC models as part of the optional Driver Assistance Package. Confirmed during the quote — if your model has a camera, static calibration will be needed after replacement.

  • HUD - Head Up Display2
    2019–2024No calibration after replacement

On the Mercedes EQC: fitted on 2 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2019–2024; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

The speedometer and key driving data projected onto the windscreen so you can see them without looking down — available on higher-trim EQC variants.

    On your Mercedes EQC

Present on select trim levels, typically confirmed during the quote based on your model specification.

  • Stereo Camera2
    2019–2024Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Mercedes EQC: fitted on 2 of the 4 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2019–2024; calibration varies by vehicle.

Dual cameras mounted near the rear-view mirror provide advanced driver-assistance features like collision avoidance and lane-keeping.

    What it means

A stereo camera is a pair of cameras mounted in the upper windscreen area, typically embedded in or near the rear-view mirror housing. These cameras work together to capture depth information, allowing the vehicle's safety and driver-assistance systems to detect obstacles, measure distances, recognise lane markings, and monitor road signs. Stereo cameras are central to modern collision-avoidance, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and pedestrian-detection systems. Unlike single cameras, the dual-lens setup provides three-dimensional awareness, enabling more accurate decision-making by the vehicle's control modules.

    How to tell

Look in the dark area of the windscreen near the top, directly above or slightly offset from the rear-view mirror. You will see two small lens housings — typically circular or oval — separated by a small gap. Some vehicles display a camera symbol on the dashboard or in the instrument cluster when the system is active. Your vehicle's handbook or service centre can confirm the presence and type of camera system if you're uncertain.

    Replacement impact

Stereo cameras are bracket-mounted to the windscreen frame and require careful removal and reinstallation during replacement. The camera alignment is critical for safe operation — even small deviations can impair collision detection and lane-keeping accuracy. After windscreen replacement, your vehicle's camera system may require static or dynamic calibration depending on the specific make and model. We confirm the exact calibration procedure and schedule when we look up your vehicle. Calibration ensures the dual lenses are precisely aligned and the depth-sensing algorithms function correctly.

About the Mercedes EQC

The Mercedes-Benz EQC is the brand's electric SUV, launched in 2019 and continuously refined through 2024. All variants in our catalogue feature laminated windscreens with acoustic interlayers to reduce cabin noise, green-tinted glass for heat management, and rain sensors that trigger automatic wipers.

From 2022 onwards, Mercedes introduced the Driver Assistance Package on newer EQC models, incorporating front-mounted camera systems for lane-keeping, collision warning, and traffic-sign recognition. These camera-equipped variants require specialist static calibration after windscreen replacement — a procedure that must be completed by technicians trained in Mercedes-Benz ADAS protocols.

Most models also carry a VIN notch along the bottom of the windscreen, and many feature the moulded bracket trim around the rear-view mirror that houses camera and sensor clusters. Your fitter will confirm your specific variant during the parts check.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

If your model is fitted with the Driver Assistance Package (2022+ variants typically), yes — a front-mounted camera requires static calibration after the windscreen is replaced. This is a safety-critical procedure that must be completed by a technician trained in Mercedes-Benz ADAS systems.

Calibration runs in parallel with the adhesive cure, so it doesn't add to your drive-away time. The fitter will confirm the specific procedure before they start.

Encapsulation means the rubber gasket is bonded to the glass at the factory. Your replacement arrives with the trim already fitted, so the glass and seal are replaced as one unit — no separate trim transfer needed. This creates a stronger, cleaner seal and is standard on most 2022–2024 EQC models.

Yes — all EQC models carry a green-tinted windscreen as standard. The tint is subtle but reduces heat and glare, keeping the cabin cooler and more comfortable. Your replacement will match the same tint and acoustic properties.

Your replacement windscreen includes a rain sensor as standard, just like your original. The sensor is optical (not a physical contact) and sits on the interior side of the glass near the rear-view mirror. It will function normally once the windscreen is fitted.
