Mazda 2 windscreen price, by year

Price variation reflects generation differences and feature complexity. Earlier Mazda 2 models without cameras or acoustic glass are the most straightforward; later variants with rain sensors and acoustic laminate carry slightly higher costs due to feature precision. Camera-equipped models incur additional calibration charges after fitting, as the i-ACTIVSENSE system must be recalibrated post-replacement to ensure lane-assist and forward-collision functions remain accurate.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

Booking your Mazda 2 windscreen replacement through UK Car Glass is a straightforward four-step process.

  1. 1

Start with an instant online quote using our guided widget — answer a few questions about your 2's year and trim, and receive a no-obligation estimate in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Once booked, our parts team carries out a detailed check to confirm your exact glass specification, including any ADAS features, acoustic laminate, or rain-sensor hardware.

  3. 3

You'll be matched with a trusted local fitter who specialises in windscreen replacement and, if needed, i-ACTIVSENSE camera calibration.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the fitter arrives with your matched glass and completes the replacement — typically within a couple of hours depending on whether calibration is required.

  5. 5

If your Mazda 2 has a camera, the fitter performs static calibration indoors using diagnostic tools and printed targets, confirming all safety functions work correctly before you drive away.

  6. 6

You receive a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality, with our network on hand for any questions or concerns.

The entire journey — from quote to fitted car — is coordinated by UK Car Glass to take the stress out of windscreen replacement.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your 2?

Most Mazda 2 windscreen replacements are fitted at your home or workplace via mobile service, offering convenience and minimal disruption. However, if your Mazda 2 is equipped with an i-ACTIVSENSE camera system, the complete job — replacement and static calibration — is scheduled at a workshop. This ensures the camera can be precisely recalibrated indoors using diagnostic tools and printed targets, a safety-critical step that cannot be completed on a driveway. Your booking will make this clear, and the workshop environment is factored into the appointment time.

  • Light Sensor2
    2010–2026

On the Mazda 2: fitted on 2 of the 12 windscreen variants we list (17%); model years 2010–2026.

Light sensors automatically turn your headlights on at dusk or in tunnels; the replacement windscreen must include the sensor bracket.

    What it means

A light sensor is a small optical detector mounted on the windscreen or dashboard that monitors ambient light levels. When light drops below a threshold—at dusk or when entering a tunnel—it triggers your headlights to switch on automatically. This removes the need to manually operate the lights and improves safety by ensuring visibility when conditions darken suddenly. The sensor is typically mounted behind the windscreen's top edge or integrated into the interior mirror housing, where it has an unobstructed view of the sky.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or ask your dealer whether your car has automatic headlight control or 'auto lights' as a feature. If equipped, you'll see a symbol on the stalk or dashboard dial marked with a light-bulb icon or 'AUTO' setting. When you select this mode and the ambient light dims, the headlights activate without manual input. Not all cars have this feature; it's typically found on newer or higher-specification models.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen on a vehicle with a light sensor, the replacement glass must include the correct sensor bracket or mounting point to preserve the auto-headlight function. The sensor itself does not require software calibration—it relies on physical positioning behind the windscreen's upper trim or within the mirror assembly. Ensuring the bracket is correctly installed during the fit is essential; if omitted, the auto-light feature will fail and cannot be restored without additional parts and labour.

About the Mazda 2

The Mazda 2 has been in continuous production since 2003, evolving through multiple generations with steady improvements to glass specification and cabin technology.

Early models feature straightforward laminated windscreens with minimal trim features, while later variants from the mid-2010s onwards increasingly carry rain sensors, acoustic interlayers for noise reduction, and green-tinted glass as standard. Most current Mazda 2s arrive with pre-fitted fitting hardware bonded into the glass for a secure seal.

From around the late 2010s, i-ACTIVSENSE camera systems became more prevalent on higher-spec variants, introducing front-facing windscreen cameras for lane departure warning and collision mitigation. When a camera-equipped Mazda 2 requires windscreen replacement, static camera calibration is completed after the glass is set.
