The Land Rover Discovery Sport has been in continuous production since 2014, evolving through two generations with increasing driver-assistance technology. Early models carry straightforward acoustic windscreens, while from around 2017 onwards, the InControl driver assistance suite introduced front-facing cameras for lane-keeping and collision warning.
Most Discovery Sport variants from the mid-2010s onwards feature rain sensors, acoustic interlayers, and VIN notches. By the late 2010s, heated windscreens and head-up displays became available on higher-specification trims, alongside the camera systems that support Land Rover's modern safety suite.
Camera-equipped models require static or dynamic recalibration after windscreen replacement to restore lane-keeping accuracy and collision detection—a process managed during the booking and scheduled appropriately at a workshop when needed.
