Kia Cerato windscreen price, by year

Replacement costs for this generation are typically modest, driven mainly by the straightforward nature of the glass — no ADAS camera brackets or calibration complexity. Variation is minimal across the single active variant, with the chief factors being glass sourcing and your location within the UK.

Year Price range Quote
2008 £393 — £393 Price my 2008
2007 £393 — £393 Price my 2007
2006 £393 — £393 Price my 2006
2005 £393 — £393 Price my 2005
2004 £393 — £393 Price my 2004

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Kia Cerato models can still be booked.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

I checked on line for a windscreen company and found UK Glass. From the booking on line to the job being completed all went well. After booking I had a phone call to confirm all the details. A day and date were given for the replacement at my home, Two very competent and friendly windscreen fitters arrived on time and completed the job to complete satisfaction.

What to expect during your Kia Cerato windscreen replacement

Booking your Cerato windscreen replacement is simple and typically takes about two minutes online.

  1. 1

Answer a quick quiz about your Cerato (year and features) — your quote appears in seconds.

  2. 2

Choose your fitting location: mobile visit at your address, or a workshop near you.

  3. 3

Our parts team confirms your exact glass spec (blue sun strip, green tint, VIN notch) before the technician arrives.

  4. 4

Your fitter removes the old windscreen and bonds in the replacement — typically 45–90 minutes depending on your vehicle's condition.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the drive-away time before you leave; the adhesive cure continues as you drive.

  6. 6

Your replacement is covered by our two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

From quote to booked appointment, the whole process is designed to take the stress out of windscreen replacement.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Cerato?

The Cerato's straightforward windscreen design — no ADAS camera or calibration requirement — means mobile fitting at your address is the default option. Your approved fitter can typically complete the job at your home, workplace, or another location of your choice.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Cerato have?

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    2004–2008

On the Kia Cerato: fitted on every one of the 1 windscreen variant we list; model years 2004–2008.

    What it means

A blue-tinted gradient band across the windscreen's top edge that reduces glare without affecting visibility — built into the glass laminate and must be matched on replacement.

    On your Kia Cerato

Standard on all 2004–2008 Cerato models; confirmed during your quote.

  • Green1
    2004–2008

On the Kia Cerato: fitted on every one of the 1 windscreen variant we list; model years 2004–2008.

    What it means

A subtle green tint in the windscreen glass that's hard to spot but essential to match — factory-standard on this generation.

    On your Kia Cerato

All Cerato windscreens in this era carry green tint; your replacement will match this spec automatically.

  • Vin Notch1
    2004–2008

On the Kia Cerato: fitted on every one of the 1 windscreen variant we list; model years 2004–2008.

    What it means

A small printed box along the bottom edge showing the vehicle's chassis number — a factory reference mark that must be replicated on the replacement glass.

    On your Kia Cerato

Present on all 2004–2008 Ceratos; your fitter ensures the replacement carries the same marking.

About the Kia Cerato

The Kia Cerato (2004–2008) is a compact saloon that brought affordable motoring to the UK market during its first generation. Early Ceratos arrived with straightforward laminated windscreens fitted with a blue sun strip and VIN notch, paired with green-tinted glass as standard.

This era predates ADAS camera systems on Kia vehicles, so windscreen replacement is straightforward — no post-fit calibration required. What you see is what you replace: the blue sun strip and green tint are integral to the laminate and must be matched exactly.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Yes. All 2004–2008 Cerato windscreens carry both the blue sun strip (gradient band at the top) and green tint as factory standard. Your replacement must match both — your fitter confirms this during the parts check after booking.

Yes. Your replacement matches your factory specification, including the blue sun strip gradient, green tint, and VIN notch. The glass is sourced to match what Kia fitted originally — so it will be indistinguishable from the original once fitted.

No. The 2004–2008 Cerato predates ADAS systems on Kia vehicles, so there's no camera bracket or calibration required. Your fitter simply removes the old windscreen and fits the new one — no extra steps needed.
