Honda Accord windscreen price, by year

Prices vary significantly across the Accord's 33-year production span and depend on generation, ADAS equipment, and glass specification. Earlier models without cameras are the most affordable; later models with Honda Sensing camera systems carry higher calibration costs.

Tint options, sun-strip variants, and acoustic glass (where fitted to higher trims) also influence pricing. The technician's parts check at booking confirms the exact variant and cost.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Honda Accord windscreen replacement

From online quote to fitted windscreen, the process is straightforward and transparent.

  1. 1

Answer a quick quiz about your Accord's year, trim, and features — typically under 60 seconds — to get an instant quote.

  2. 2

Book online and choose your preferred date and location: mobile at your address or at a workshop.

  3. 3

Our network matches you with a local specialist who sources glass matching your factory specification.

  4. 4

On the day, the technician fits your windscreen (typically 45–90 minutes for non-ADAS models, longer if camera calibration is required) and confirms the minimum drive-away time before leaving.

  5. 5

If your Accord has Honda Sensing, static camera calibration is completed after the glass is set — the fitter handles this and runs a diagnostic to confirm the job is complete.

  6. 6

Your replacement comes with a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

From booking to fitted glass, you're supported by our team and backed by our standard two-year warranty.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Accord?

Most Accord windscreen replacements can be done at your address using a mobile specialist. However, if your Accord is equipped with Honda Sensing, static camera calibration is required after the glass is fitted — this must be done indoors at a workshop using specialist equipment and target boards.

Following UKCG's no-split policy, the entire job (replacement and calibration) is scheduled at one location to ensure the critical safety calibration is completed. The fitter will confirm this during your booking.

What features does your Accord have?

  • Green7
    1994–2008

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 7 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (78%); model years 1994–2008.

    What it means

A subtle greenish tint in the laminated glass, nearly invisible but important for UV protection and reducing solar heat.

    On your Honda Accord

Standard on most Accord generations from the 2000s onwards; confirmed during the parts check at booking.

  • Vin Notch5
    1999–2008

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 5 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (56%); model years 1999–2008.

    What it means

A small printed box along the bottom of the windscreen displaying your vehicle's chassis (VIN) number.

    On your Honda Accord

Present on many Accords from the 2000s onwards; confirmed during the quote.

  • Blue Sun Strip4
    1990–2008

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 4 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (44%); model years 1990–2008.

    What it means

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of the windscreen that cuts glare from above without affecting your main field of view.

    On your Honda Accord

Found on many mid-generation and newer Accords; visible as a subtle blue band at the top edge. The replacement must be a sun-strip variant to match your original.

  • Green Sun Strip3
    1994–2007

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 3 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (33%); model years 1994–2007.

A green-tinted band at the windscreen's top edge that reduces glare from sunlight above.

    What it means

A green sun strip is a graduated tint band integrated into the windscreen's laminate at the upper edge. It filters intense sunlight and glare from above — particularly useful on motorways and in bright conditions — whilst maintaining clarity through the main viewing area below. The tint is permanent, fused into the laminate layer during manufacture, and cannot be applied or removed afterwards. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature because they must be built into the laminate during production; side and rear glass cannot carry them as they are typically toughened rather than laminated.

    How to tell

Look at the top edge of your windscreen from the inside. A sun strip appears as a distinct green-tinted gradient band that fades from darker at the very top to clear below. It is visible whether the car is parked or moving. You can also check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership or current service centre to confirm whether your windscreen includes a sun strip.

    Replacement impact

The replacement windscreen must be the green sun strip variant to match your original. This is not a post-fit addition; it must be ordered as part of the glass itself. Availability is usually straightforward for current and recent models from major manufacturers, though older or less common variants may require a longer lead time. The sun strip does not affect calibration requirements or cure time — it is simply a laminate feature and does not complicate the fitting process.

  • Blue2
    1982–1994

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 2 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (22%); model years 1982–1994.

Blue-tinted windscreens reduce glare and heat while maintaining a subtle, modern appearance.

    What it means

A blue tint is a light coloration applied to the windscreen glass, usually during manufacture. It reduces solar heat transmission and glare from sunlight, particularly on bright days or when driving into the sun. The tint is integral to the glass itself — not a separate film — and is chosen by the vehicle manufacturer to balance comfort, visibility, and aesthetic consistency with the vehicle's side windows and rear window. Most vehicles come with a green or blue tint as standard; the choice depends on the manufacturer's design and regional climate considerations.

    How to tell

Check your side windows by rolling one halfway down and holding a white piece of paper behind the glass. If you see a blue tint reflected in the glass, your windscreen will have the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen tint specification. The tint is visible when comparing the windscreen to clear glass, though it may be subtle and harder to spot on overcast days.

    Replacement impact

Blue-tinted replacement windscreens must match the original tint to maintain visual consistency with your side and rear windows. Most replacement glass is available in the correct tint through OE (original equipment) suppliers. There is no calibration requirement related to tint. The tint does not affect fitting time, cure time, or drive-away schedules. Ensure the replacement windscreen is specified with the blue tint to avoid a mismatched appearance.

  • Rain Sensor1
    2003–2008No calibration after replacement

On the Honda Accord: fitted on 1 of the 9 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2003–2008; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor mounted behind the windscreen that automatically activates your wipers when it detects rain — a convenience feature tied to your vehicle's electrical system.

    On your Honda Accord

Found on select higher-trim Accords and newer models with advanced comfort packs; confirmed during the booking process.

About the Honda Accord

The Honda Accord has been in continuous production since 1982, evolving through multiple generations with steadily advancing windscreen technology. Early generations carried straightforward laminated windscreens, while later models from the mid-2000s onwards introduced tinted glass, VIN notches, and sun-strip variants that reduce glare without affecting visibility.

From the 2010s onwards, newer Accords equipped with Honda Sensing ADAS systems introduced forward-facing windscreen cameras. These models require static camera calibration after windscreen replacement — a process completed indoors at a workshop with specialist equipment to ensure lane-keeping and adaptive cruise functions work safely.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

No. Only Accords equipped with Honda Sensing have forward-facing windscreen cameras and require static calibration after replacement. Earlier generations (1982–early 2010s) do not. The online quiz identifies which variant you have, and we'll confirm calibration need before your booking is finalised.

Yes. Sun strips (whether blue or green) are built into the laminate and cannot be added afterwards. Your replacement must be the sun-strip variant to match your original specification. Our parts-check team confirms this before your technician is dispatched.

The technician typically spends longer on an ADAS-equipped Accord because static camera calibration is completed after the glass is set. There's no precise fixed time — it depends on the specific equipment and variant — but calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend your minimum drive-away time. The fitter will confirm the exact timeline on the day.

Yes, provided glass is available through suppliers. Classic and vintage Accords are in scope under UKCG's service, governed by the three-component rule: you've booked a real job, glass is in stock, and a technician can fit it. Rarer variants may take longer to source, but our parts-check team will confirm availability and cost during the quote.
