Alfa Romeo Junior windscreen price, by year

Pricing varies depending on whether your Junior includes the heated windscreen option — an upgrade available on some variants. Base models with the standard glass and ADAS suite sit at one end; variants with heating elements carry slightly higher costs due to the additional embedded wiring. Calibration complexity is consistent across all variants, so the main driver of cost difference is the heated element fitment.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £680 — £731 Price my 2026
2025 £680 — £731 Price my 2025
2024 £680 — £731 Price my 2024

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Alfa Romeo Junior models can still be booked.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Alfa Romeo Junior windscreen replacement

Booking your Junior's windscreen replacement is straightforward and happens in three stages.

  1. 1

Complete a quick online quote using our widget — answer a few simple questions about your Junior and receive an instant price estimate.

  2. 2

Proceed to checkout and secure your booking in under two minutes with your preferred date and time.

  3. 3

Our parts-check team verify your exact windscreen variant (checking for acoustic glass, camera bracket, heating elements, and the green tint) to ensure the correct glass is sourced.

  4. 4

You're matched with a specialist in your area who will contact you to confirm the appointment and discuss whether mobile fitting at your address or a workshop visit suits you best.

  5. 5

On the day, your fitter removes the damaged glass, cleans the frame, bonds the new windscreen in place, and completes the static camera calibration (which typically requires a workshop environment).

  6. 6

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time before you leave — usually within an hour or two, depending on the adhesive product and conditions on the day.

Your replacement is backed by a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Junior?

Most Junior windscreen replacements require a workshop visit because the static camera calibration for your Active Driving Assist system needs a controlled environment with fixed calibration targets. This isn't a limitation — it's a safety requirement, and our specialists complete the full job (replacement plus calibration) at one location, so you're not left managing multiple appointments.

Your fitter will confirm the workshop location and timing once you're matched; the entire process typically completes within a couple of hours from start to finish.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Junior have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)2
    2024–2026

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2024–2026.

    What it means

An extra acoustic interlayer in the laminated glass that significantly reduces road and wind noise inside the cabin.

    On your Alfa Romeo Junior

Standard on all Junior variants — look for 'Acoustic' or 'SoundScreen' markings on the glass, or an ear symbol in one corner.

  • Camera2
    2024–2026Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2024–2026; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A windscreen-mounted front-facing camera that feeds Alfa Romeo's Active Driving Assist system, enabling lane-keeping and adaptive cruise features.

    On your Alfa Romeo Junior

Standard on all 2024+ Junior models; confirmed during the online quote process.

  • Green2
    2024–2026

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2024–2026.

    What it means

A subtle green tint applied to the glass at manufacture; this tint reduces glare and heat transmission while being almost invisible in normal light.

    On your Alfa Romeo Junior

All Junior windscreens carry this tint; it's visible only when viewing the glass edge-on or in certain light angles.

  • Rain Sensor2
    2024–2026No calibration after replacement

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2024–2026; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

An optical sensor mounted behind the windscreen that automatically activates your wipers when rain is detected, without driver input.

    On your Alfa Romeo Junior

Standard on all 2024+ Junior models — if your wipers activate automatically in light rain, you have a rain sensor fitted.

  • Vin Notch2
    2024–2026

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2024–2026.

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

  • Heated Windscreen1
    2024–2026

On the Alfa Romeo Junior: fitted on 1 of the 2 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2024–2026.

    What it means

An embedded mesh of thin heating wires that warms the glass in winter, aiding defrosting and improving visibility in snow or frost.

    On your Alfa Romeo Junior

Available on select Junior variants; check your vehicle specification or mention it during the quote — confirmed during the parts-check stage if you're unsure.

About the Alfa Romeo Junior

The Alfa Romeo Junior is a new compact urban hatchback launched in 2024, bringing accessible Italian styling to the budget-friendly segment. Every variant in our catalogue carries a modern windscreen suite: green-tinted laminated glass with acoustic noise reduction, a forward-facing camera for ADAS functions, rain-sensing wipers, and an embedded VIN notch along the lower edge.

The camera system supports Alfa Romeo's Active Driving Assist package, which includes lane-keeping and adaptive cruise features. This means windscreen replacement requires static camera calibration after the glass is fitted — a process that takes longer than a standard replacement but is essential for your safety systems to function correctly.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

The Alfa Romeo Junior's Active Driving Assist camera system requires static calibration after windscreen replacement — this uses fixed target boards positioned in a controlled environment to ensure the camera is recalibrated to the exact factory angle. This can't be done safely on a driveway or in variable outdoor conditions, so the full job (glass replacement plus calibration) is scheduled at a workshop. Your fitter confirms the location when they contact you.

Once the new windscreen is bonded in place and the adhesive has set, your fitter positions calibration target boards in front of the vehicle and uses diagnostic equipment to confirm the camera's field of view and angle match Alfa Romeo's factory specification. This ensures your lane-keeping, adaptive cruise, and other ADAS features work correctly. The process typically takes 20–30 minutes and is included in your replacement cost.

All 2024+ Junior models in our catalogue carry the same core windscreen specification: green-tinted laminated glass with acoustic noise reduction, rain sensing, a forward-facing ADAS camera, and a VIN notch. The only variation is that some variants include a heated windscreen option — confirmed when you receive your quote. The fit, camera calibration, and warranty are identical across all versions.

Your fitter will confirm the minimum drive-away time before releasing your vehicle — this depends on the adhesive product used and the conditions on the day, but typically you can drive normally within an hour or two. The static camera calibration runs in parallel with the adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend the waiting time. Your fitter will be clear on when it's safe to go.
