Alfa Romeo Giulia windscreen price, by year

Pricing varies with generation and ADAS equipment. Earlier pre-2016 models without forward cameras carry lower calibration overhead, while 2016-onwards variants require static camera calibration after fitting, adding complexity and workshop time.

Acoustic glass and encapsulated trim are now standard across the range, so no cost tier exists for non-acoustic options — all Giulias in the catalogue specify these features.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Alfa Romeo Giulia windscreen replacement

Booking your Giulia windscreen replacement takes just a few steps from quote to fitted glass.

  1. 1

Use our online quote widget to identify your exact Giulia variant — takes about a minute.

  2. 2

Review the quote and choose your fitting location (mobile at your address or workshop).

  3. 3

A technician from our network will be matched to your booking based on availability and location.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your fitter removes the old glass, inspects the frame for any corrosion, and fits the replacement with fresh adhesive.

  5. 5

Because your Giulia has an ADAS camera system, static calibration follows — performed indoors at a workshop with printed targets to re-align the forward camera.

  6. 6

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time (which depends on the adhesive used and ambient conditions) before you leave.

Your replacement is covered by our two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Giulia?

Most Giulia windscreen replacements can be done mobile at your address. However, because all modern Giulias carry an ADAS front camera requiring static calibration, the full job is typically scheduled at a workshop.

Static calibration uses printed target boards and a diagnostic tool — it must be done indoors on a level surface, which is why mobile-only fitting isn't an option for camera-equipped variants. Your technician will confirm the workshop location at booking.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Giulia have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Acoustic (Noise reduction)2
    2015–2027

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027.

    What it means

Acoustic laminated glass reduces cabin noise by absorbing sound vibrations, typically noticeable at motorway speeds. Look for 'Acoustic' or 'SoundScreen' printed in a corner of the glass.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Standard across all current Giulia variants; a premium feature on earlier models from higher trims.

  • Bracket For Safety Features2
    2015–2027Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

The trim cover that surrounds the camera and sensor cluster at the top of the windscreen, around the rear-view mirror. On replacement, this trim is typically transferred from the old glass to the new one.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Present on all camera-equipped Giulias from 2016 onwards; your fitter will transfer or supply it with the new glass.

  • Camera2
    2015–2027Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027; calibration varies by vehicle.

    What it means

A windscreen-mounted front-facing camera supports lane-assist and adaptive cruise functions. Replacement glass requires static camera calibration using printed targets after fitting.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Standard on all 2016-onwards Giulia models with Active Driving Assist; confirmed during your quote.

  • Green2
    2015–2027

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027.

    What it means

A subtle greenish tint in the laminated glass that reduces glare and UV transmission. About 90% of all modern car glass carries a tint that can be hard to spot unless you compare old and new.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Standard on all Giulias; the tint is factory-matched during replacement.

  • Rain Sensor2
    2015–2027No calibration after replacement

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027; no calibration after replacement.

    What it means

Automatic wiper activation triggered by rain on the windscreen. The sensor sits in the black field near the rear-view mirror.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Standard on all modern Giulias; confirmed during the quote process.

  • Vin Notch2
    2015–2027

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on every one of the 2 windscreen variants we list; model years 2015–2027.

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

  • Heat Absorbing PVB1
    2015–2027

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on 1 of the 2 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2015–2027.

Heat-absorbing PVB interlayer reduces solar gain and cabin temperature on warm days—but must match your original spec.

    What it means

Heat-absorbing PVB is a specially formulated interlayer sandwiched between the glass plies in your windscreen. It absorbs a portion of the sun's infrared radiation before it enters the cabin, reducing solar heat gain on warm days. This keeps the interior cooler and reduces air-conditioning workload. The feature is built into the glass during manufacture and cannot be added or removed after production. If your vehicle left the factory with this interlayer, any replacement windscreen must carry the same PVB specification to maintain the original thermal performance.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's specification sheet or handbook—heat-absorbing PVB is listed under windscreen or glass specification. You can also ask your dealership service centre or provide us with your vehicle registration; we'll confirm whether your car came with this feature as standard or as an option.

    Replacement impact

Replacement windscreens with heat-absorbing PVB must be sourced to the exact OE specification—aftermarket alternatives with standard PVB will not deliver the same solar-control performance. We ensure the correct spec is ordered before the fit. No calibration is required. Installation and cure procedures are identical to standard windscreen replacement; the interlayer is integral to the glass and requires no additional treatment.

  • Mono Camera1
    2015–2027Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on 1 of the 2 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2015–2027; calibration varies by vehicle.

A single camera mounted near the rear-view mirror that helps with lane-keeping and collision avoidance.

    What it means

A mono camera is a single-lens camera positioned behind the windscreen, typically in the upper centre area near the rear-view mirror. It captures the road ahead and uses computer vision to detect lane markings, vehicles, and road hazards. The camera feeds data to driver-assistance systems such as lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning. It forms the visual foundation of these safety features, allowing the vehicle to monitor road position and surrounding traffic automatically.

    How to tell

Look in the black trim area above the windscreen, centred behind the rear-view mirror — you will see a small triangular lens assembly or dark lens cover. Check your vehicle handbook or ask your dealer's service department to confirm your model has lane-assistance or collision-warning features; vehicles with these systems almost always have a mono camera. Dashboard warning symbols related to lane or collision systems also indicate the presence of this camera.

    Replacement impact

When the windscreen is replaced, the camera bracket and lens assembly must be removed and carefully repositioned on the new glass. The camera may require calibration after fitting to ensure accurate road detection and lane recognition. Calibration needs vary by vehicle — we confirm the exact procedure when we look up your specific vehicle. The job may take longer than a standard windscreen replacement, and workshop facilities may be required if calibration demands a controlled environment.

  • Static Camera Calibration Process1
    2015–2027Static calibration required

On the Alfa Romeo Giulia: fitted on 1 of the 2 windscreen variants we list (50%); model years 2015–2027; static calibration required.

    What it means

After windscreen replacement, the forward camera is re-aligned using printed target boards placed at manufacturer-specified distances in front of the vehicle. This indoor, stationary process ensures lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise function safely.

    On your Alfa Romeo Giulia

Required on 2016-onwards Giulia models with ADAS; your technician will schedule this at a workshop after the glass is fitted.

About the Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Alfa Romeo Giulia has been produced since 2015 on the Giorgio platform, establishing itself as a compact executive saloon with evolving glass and safety technology across its generation.

From 2016 onwards, Giulia models feature windscreen-mounted forward cameras supporting lane assist and adaptive cruise control as part of the Active Driving Assist suite. All current variants carry acoustic laminated glass, rain sensors, and encapsulated trim — features that reduce cabin noise and simplify replacement logistics.

Static camera calibration is required after windscreen replacement on all modern Giulias due to the ADAS camera system. This is performed indoors at a workshop using printed target boards, ensuring safety-critical lane-keeping and adaptive-cruise functions align correctly after the new glass is fitted.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

All Giulia models from 2016 onwards feature a windscreen-mounted camera for lane assist and adaptive cruise control. Yes, static camera calibration is required after replacement — this is a safety-critical step and is included in the service. Your technician will perform it indoors at a workshop using printed targets and a diagnostic tool.

Because calibration is required and must be done indoors with printed targets, the entire job (glass replacement plus calibration) is scheduled at a workshop. We don't split the job across locations — this keeps us accountable for the calibration being completed correctly. Your technician will confirm the workshop location when you book.

Encapsulated trim is a rubber gasket bonded directly to the glass edges at the factory. When you replace the windscreen, the trim comes with the new glass as a single unit — your fitter doesn't need to transfer it from the old glass. This makes the job cleaner and ensures the seal is factory-fresh.

The 2015 Giulia launched before the forward-camera system became standard on the Giorgio platform. Depending on your trim and market, your 2015 may or may not have a camera. The quote widget will identify your exact variant and whether calibration is needed. If your model doesn't have ADAS, the job can often be done mobile.
