Seat Ibiza rear window price, by year

Price variation across Ibiza variants is driven by generation, glass tinting options, and whether encapsulation or other factory hardware is present. Earlier models without encapsulation tend to be more affordable; later variants with integrated trim or solar-control features carry higher replacement costs. Fitter experience and regional availability also influence final pricing.

Seat Ibiza

Great price, fast, easy

This was fast, easy service at an amazing price - 60% cheaper than autoglass quoted! Booking online was easy and was only a day later to fit. Mark arrived at my home, wasn’t at all perturbed that I needed to be on a zoom whilst he was there, fitted it, dropped back the keys and was gone. Window is fitted and goes up and down. What more can you ask.

What to expect during your Seat Ibiza rear window replacement

From your instant online quote to fitting day, here's how the process unfolds.

  1. 1

Answer a short guided quiz (make, model, year, features) to identify your exact rear-window variant — takes about a minute.

  2. 2

Receive your instant quote. Review the price, cover, and warranty (two years as standard).

  3. 3

Book your appointment online. Choose a mobile visit to your home or a workshop location, whichever suits you.

  4. 4

A technician from our network will attend on your chosen date. Fitting typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on your vehicle.

  5. 5

Shard cleanup from the shattered original is part of the job, but small fragments can lodge in places fitters can't easily reach on the day — we recommend a professional interior valet afterwards for thorough detailing.

  6. 6

You're covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Book through UK Car Glass and you'll be matched with a local fitter vetted for the job.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Ibiza?

Most Seat Ibiza rear-window replacements can be done mobile at your home — there's no ADAS calibration involved, so no technical reason to visit a workshop. However, you may prefer workshop attendance for access to facilities, weather cover, or convenience.

Mobile fitting is the default option. If you'd rather use a workshop, you can select that during booking — the specialist you're matched with will confirm the best location based on your variant and local availability.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Ibiza have?

  • Heated Rear Windscreen20
    1993–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on every one of the 20 rear window variants we list; model years 1993–2026.

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

  • Green15
    1993–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 15 of the 20 rear window variants we list (75%); model years 1993–2026.

    What it means

A subtle green tint in the glass — so faint many owners don't notice it, but a factory standard on most Ibizas.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Confirmed during your online quote based on your model year and variant selection.

  • Solar Control6
    2002–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 6 of the 20 rear window variants we list (30%); model years 2002–2026.

    What it means

A solar-control coating that absorbs infrared rays, keeping the car cooler on sunny days — a premium option on some Ibiza variants.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Present on select higher-spec trims and newer model years; confirmed during your online quote.

  • Dark Green4
    2008–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 4 of the 20 rear window variants we list (20%); model years 2008–2026.

    What it means

A noticeably darker green tint in the rear window compared to the front, for privacy — found on a smaller portion of Ibiza variants.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Confirmed in your quote if your model carries this specification.

  • Brake Light3
    1994–2000

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 3 of the 20 rear window variants we list (15%); model years 1994–2000.

    What it means

A high-level brake light integrated into the rear window itself, with wiring and silkscreen pattern that must match exactly on replacement.

    On your Seat Ibiza

Present on select models; the replacement glass carries the same pattern so your vehicle's lighting circuit reconnects seamlessly.

  • Antenna2
    2017–2026

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 2 of the 20 rear window variants we list (10%); model years 2017–2026.

An aerial laminated into the windscreen or rear window restores radio, DAB or TV reception without a roof-mounted mast.

    What it means

An antenna is a conductive print laminated into the glass during manufacture, typically used for radio, DAB (digital audio broadcasting) or television reception. It replaces the traditional roof-mounted aerial mast found on older vehicles. The antenna is integrated into the glass interlayer and connected to the vehicle's receiver unit via a connector embedded in the glass edge. This design offers a cleaner aesthetic, reduces wind noise, and eliminates the vulnerability of a protruding mast to damage or theft.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's roof — if there is no visible aerial mast, your car likely has a laminated antenna. You can also ask your dealer or service centre whether your windscreen or rear window carries an antenna print. The connector may be visible on the glass edge or inside the door frame trim.

    Replacement impact

When replacing glass with a laminated antenna, the replacement must carry the matching antenna print and connector to restore reception immediately on fitting. Aftermarket or original-equipment glass with the correct antenna specification is essential; a plain replacement will leave you without radio or DAB signal. Our fitters verify the antenna specification during booking and source the correct variant before the appointment.

  • Clear1
    1996–2004Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Seat Ibiza: fitted on 1 of the 20 rear window variants we list (5%); model years 1996–2004; calibration varies by vehicle.

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings.

About the Seat Ibiza

The Seat Ibiza has been in continuous production since 1993, evolving through six generations. Its rear window is typically toughened glass, which means it shatters into small fragments if damaged — a reality that shapes the replacement scope.

Most Ibizas carry a green-tinted rear window, often so subtle that owners barely notice it. Around 40% of current variants feature an encapsulated gasket moulded directly onto the glass edges at the factory, arriving as a complete panel-plus-trim unit that simplifies fitting.

Newer models may include solar-control or other hardware features, but the core replacement story remains straightforward — no camera brackets, no ADAS calibration required.
