The Seat Cordoba has been in continuous production since 1996, spanning three distinct generations through 2009. Early models carried straightforward toughened rear windows, while later variants introduced increasingly sophisticated glass features to match evolving trim levels.
From the early 2000s onwards, higher-specification Cordobas began to feature encapsulated rear glass — a pre-fitted rubber gasket moulded directly onto the glass edges at the factory, which simplifies installation by replacing the panel and trim as a single unit. Solar-control coatings also appeared on select models to manage cabin heat.
All Cordoba rear windows carry a subtle green tint — a standard feature across the range that's sometimes hard to spot in daylight but is part of the factory specification your replacement must match.
