Honda CR-V rear window price, by year

Pricing varies mainly by generation and feature content. Earlier CR-Vs with basic rear glass are the most affordable; later generations with integrated brake lights, antenna systems, or privacy tinting carry higher costs due to glass complexity. Privacy-tinted and antenna-equipped variants also influence the final price, as do differences in brake-light silkscreen patterns across trim levels.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £390 — £569 Price my 2026
2025 £390 — £569 Price my 2025
2024 £390 — £569 Price my 2024
2023 £390 — £569 Price my 2023
2022 £390 — £569 Price my 2022
2021 £390 — £569 Price my 2021
2020 £390 — £569 Price my 2020

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older CR-Vs can still be booked.

Amazingly quick and efficient service!

Called on Monday, received a quote the next day early in the morning which was followed by a call not long after. Agreed the quote, logged online to complete the booking form. Later that day I received a text to say that the job was booked for the following day. The fitter arrived, explained what he was planning to do regarding calibration and completed the fitting within a couple of hours.

What to expect during your Honda CR-V rear window replacement

From your instant online quote to driving away with a replaced rear window, here's what happens.

  1. 1

Complete a quick online quote via our widget to identify your exact CR-V variant — takes under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Choose your fitting date and location (mobile at your address or workshop).

  3. 3

Our team matches you with a local specialist and confirms your replacement glass in a parts check.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your fitter removes the shattered rear window, cleans accessible shards, and bonds the new glass — typically 30–60 minutes of active work.

  5. 5

Because a shattered rear window leaves glass fragments lodged in places fitters can't always reach, we recommend a professional valet afterwards for thorough interior cleaning.

  6. 6

Your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

From quote to fitted glass, the process is transparent and hassle-free — handled entirely through UKCG.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your CR-V?

Most CR-V rear-window replacements are fitted mobile at your address — there is no ADAS calibration involved because the rear window doesn't house a camera or sensor system. Your fitter will bring everything needed to remove the shattered glass, clear accessible shards, and bond the new rear window in place.

Workshop visits are optional and chosen by customers who prefer a controlled environment or who lack a suitable outdoor location for fitting. Mobile fitting is faster and more convenient for the vast majority of CR-V owners.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen8
    2002–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on every one of the 8 rear window variants we list; model years 2002–2026.

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

  • Brake Light5
    2002–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 5 of the 8 rear window variants we list (63%); model years 2002–2026.

    What it means

A high-level brake light integrated into the rear window via silkscreen or wired circuit, requiring a replacement glass with an identical brake-light pattern so the original lighting circuit reconnects cleanly.

    On your Honda CR-V

Found on select later-generation CR-V trims; confirmed during your quote and parts check.

  • Grey Privacy5
    2007–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 5 of the 8 rear window variants we list (63%); model years 2007–2026.

Dark grey tint on rear windows provides privacy and reduces interior heat and glare.

    What it means

Dark grey tint, formally known as privacy glass, is a factory-applied tint created through a deep-dipping process during glass manufacture. The pigment is infused into the inner surface of the glass, darkening the rear windows (and sometimes rear doors) significantly more than the front. This reduces heat transmission, minimises glare, and obscures the interior from outside view. It's standard on the rear half of many modern vehicles.

    How to tell

Compare the rear side windows and rear window (backlight) to the front side windows — the rear glass will be noticeably darker. Check your vehicle documents or ask your dealership service centre if you're unsure whether your car left the factory with privacy glass.

    Replacement impact

Dark grey tinted glass must be sourced from the Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) or dealership to ensure colour and transmission match your vehicle's existing rear glass. The tint is integral to the glass itself, not a surface coating, so aftermarket non-tinted glass will look visibly mismatched. Replacement does not require any calibration and follows standard bonded-glass cure times for rear windows.

  • Green3
    2002–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 3 of the 8 rear window variants we list (38%); model years 2002–2026.

    What it means

A subtle green tint in the rear glass, present on approximately 90% of all automotive glass but hard to spot without close inspection.

    On your Honda CR-V

Confirmed during the quote process — you won't easily spot it by eye, so our parts check identifies it for you.

  • Solar Control3
    2002–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 3 of the 8 rear window variants we list (38%); model years 2002–2026.

    What it means

A solar-coated rear window that absorbs the Sun's infrared rays, helping to reduce cabin heat and improve climate control efficiency.

    On your Honda CR-V

Standard on select premium and eco-focused CR-V trims from the mid-2010s onwards; confirmed at your quote.

  • Antenna2
    2007–2012

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 2 of the 8 rear window variants we list (25%); model years 2007–2012.

    What it means

An AM/FM radio antenna laminated into the rear glass, replacing a traditional roof mast and connecting to your vehicle's radio receiver via a hidden connector — a replacement must carry the same antenna print and connector.

    On your Honda CR-V

Found on certain CR-V variants; Honda rear-window antennas are known to be susceptible to signal fading over time, which can be relevant if you notice FM reception issues.

  • GPS1
    2007–2012

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 1 of the 8 rear window variants we list (13%); model years 2007–2012.

GPS antenna built into the windscreen connects your sat-nav to satellite signals for reliable navigation.

    What it means

A GPS antenna is laminated into the windscreen glass during manufacture, providing a direct aerial connection for your vehicle's satellite-navigation system. This integrated design offers better signal reception than external antennas and a cleaner aesthetic. The antenna print and electrical connector are engineered into the glass itself, allowing the navigation receiver to lock onto GPS satellites without interference from the vehicle's metal body or other components.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen carries an integrated GPS antenna. You won't see obvious external aerials or connectors on the glass itself — the antenna is laminated internally. If your sat-nav works reliably without a visible roof-mounted antenna, it's likely GPS-equipped.

    Replacement impact

Replacement windscreens with GPS antennas must be sourced as OEM (original-equipment) glass to preserve navigation functionality. The antenna print pattern and electrical connector are specific to your vehicle's sat-nav system. Aftermarket glass without the antenna print will not support GPS reception. We confirm OEM availability when you book; lead times may be slightly longer than standard glass.

  • Open1
    2002–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 1 of the 8 rear window variants we list (13%); model years 2002–2026.

An opening pane with hinged hardware, typically on rear quarters or van sides.

    What it means

An opening glass pane is a hinged or pivoting section of bodyglass designed to swing or tilt outward for ventilation or access. Commonly found on rear quarters of estates or vans, and on van side panels. Unlike fixed side windows or windscreens, opening panes are part of the vehicle's passive ventilation system and allow airflow without opening a door or window. The hinge and frame hardware are integral to the feature's function.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's side and rear quarter panels for hinged glass sections that swing outward. Ask your dealer or service centre whether your model includes rear quarter vents or van-side opening panels. Your handbook will list ventilation features. Opening panes are visually distinct from sliding or rolling windows — they pivot on visible hinges rather than moving vertically or horizontally.

    Replacement impact

UKCG handles opening-pane replacement on a bespoke basis — please contact us for a quote rather than using the automated quote tool. Replacement includes the glass pane and matching hinge hardware where supplied. Fitting time is typically brief as there is no adhesive cure or calibration required. The pane is held in place by mechanical hinges and seals, so you can use the vehicle immediately after fitting.

About the Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V has been in continuous production since 1997, evolving through five generations as one of the UK's most popular compact SUVs. Rear window specifications vary across generations and trim levels, with later models featuring integrated brake lights, antenna systems, and privacy tinting on select variants.

From the mid-2010s onwards, Honda's ADAS suite — Honda Sensing — began rolling out across the CR-V range, though rear-window replacement itself is straightforward bonded glass work without calibration complexity. Owners of newer CR-Vs should expect potential antenna or brake-light integration in their rear glass, both of which must be matched exactly on replacement.
