The Audi Q7 has been in continuous production since 2006, evolving through three generations. Early models carry straightforward rear windows, while later variants from the mid-2010s onwards introduce additional features such as antenna integration, encapsulation trim, and privacy or solar-control tinting.
From around 2016 onwards, the Q7 began incorporating front-facing camera systems as part of Audi's pre sense and active lane assist suites. Whilst these cameras sit behind the windscreen and don't affect rear-window replacement directly, they represent the broader shift towards ADAS-equipped variants across the range.
Rear-window replacement is typically faster than windscreen work and does not require ADAS calibration — your fitter will fit the replacement glass and confirm the car is ready to drive.
