The Saab 9-3 was in continuous production from 1998 to 2011, spanning two main generations. Throughout its life, the 9-3 featured laminated windscreens with a VIN notch at the base and a green tint — both standard across the range.
From the early 2000s onwards, most variants gained solar-control glass to reduce cabin heat and UV transmission. Around half of the 9-3s in the catalogue also include automatic rain sensors that trigger the wipers in wet conditions. A smaller number of models feature a grey sun strip — a subtle tinted band at the top of the windscreen that reduces glare from above.
Because Saab ceased production in 2011, windscreen-mounted camera systems and ADAS calibration were never fitted to production 9-3s, so your replacement is straightforward without the need for post-fit electronic calibration.
