Nissan NV400 windscreen price, by year

Price variation is modest on the NV400 because all active variants in our catalogue carry the same core features — green tint and solar control windscreens are standard across the range. Variation between variants reflects generation differences and whether a VIN notch is present; later models with notches may carry slightly different labour scope. Mobile fitting is typically the default; workshop fitting is available if preferred.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Nissan NV400 windscreen replacement

Booking and fitting your NV400 windscreen follows a straightforward four-step journey.

  1. 1

Start with an instant online quote using our guided quiz — no registration number needed, just tell us your NV400's year and key features.

  2. 2

Our parts team performs a final check to confirm the exact glass specification matched to your van.

  3. 3

You're matched with an approved fitter in your area, typically mobile; a workshop appointment is available if you prefer.

  4. 4

Fitting day: your fitter arrives with your replacement glass, removes the damaged windscreen, applies fresh polyurethane adhesive, and sets the new glass. Technician time is typically 45–90 minutes depending on the job's complexity.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time before leaving — usually a few hours to allow adhesive cure.

  6. 6

Your replacement comes with a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality.

From quote to booking takes minutes; fitting is handled by experienced technicians on our network, backed by a two-year guarantee.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your NV400?

Most NV400 windscreen replacements are completed mobile at your location — UKCG's default for vans. The NV400 does not typically carry windscreen-mounted ADAS cameras requiring post-replacement calibration, so mobile fitting remains straightforward.

If you prefer a workshop appointment for convenience, weather protection, or if your NV400 carries any smart-vehicle features needing verification, your fitter can arrange that instead. Mobile and workshop options are both available at booking.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

About the Nissan NV400

The Nissan NV400 is a robust large van in continuous production since 2011, serving owner-operators and fleet buyers across the UK. Early models carry straightforward laminated windscreens with green tint and solar-control coatings as standard across all variants.

From 2015 onwards, VIN notch markings appeared on most variants as a trim or specification refinement. The NV400's straightforward glass specification means replacement is typically uncomplicated, with no ADAS calibration required on most in-service vehicles — though newer models from 2020+ should be checked for any smart-features integration during the booking process.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Most NV400 models in service do not carry windscreen-mounted ADAS cameras. However, if your van is fitted with any Nissan Intelligent Mobility features or ProPILOT systems, calibration may be required after replacement. Your fitter will confirm this at the parts-check stage, and any necessary calibration will be arranged as part of your booking — no additional visits needed.

The NV400 is a large van, so its windscreen is wider and taller than most cars, and the curvature differs to suit the vehicle's larger frame. The glass itself — laminated, green-tinted, solar-control — is comparable to car windscreens, but the specialist fitter must have experience fitting larger commercial-vehicle glass. All technicians on our network are trained for van and light-commercial-vehicle work.

Fitting typically takes 45–90 minutes of your fitter's active time on the job. Once the glass is set and your fitter confirms the drive-away time, you're free to use the van — usually within a few hours depending on the adhesive product and ambient conditions. Many owner-operators book the job early morning to keep downtime minimal.

Fleet and lease bookings are handled the same way as private bookings through UKCG. If your vehicle is leased, confirm with your lease company that windscreen replacement by an independent specialist is permitted — most accept it without issue. Once approved, book through UKCG as normal and let your fitter know it's a fleet or lease unit at the appointment.
