Dacia Duster windscreen price, by year

Prices vary with generation and ADAS equipment. Earlier models from the original 2008–2017 platform without driver-assistance cameras tend to be the most affordable; later variants from 2018 onwards with solar-control glass and optional sun strips command a moderate uplift. Models equipped with windscreen-mounted ADAS cameras carry higher calibration costs, as static camera realignment is required after fitting.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

More professional than autoglass

Polite, prompt and efficient. Contacted Uk Car Glass and autoglass for quotes, autoglass were suppose to call with in a window and they didn’t, by the time they contacted me the job had been done.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Dacia Duster windscreen replacement

Your booking is quick, your fit is local, and your glass is matched to factory spec.

  1. 1

Book your quote through the online widget — takes about a minute, no registration number needed. Answer a short quiz on your Duster's year and features, and get an instant quote.

  2. 2

Once booked, UKCG's team runs a parts check to confirm your exact glass specification, including any solar coating, sun strip, or VIN notch.

  3. 3

You're matched with an approved fitter in your area. They'll confirm whether the job is mobile (at your address) or workshop-based, depending on ADAS calibration requirements.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your specialist arrives with the correct glass and completes the replacement — typically 45–90 minutes of hands-on time for a windscreen. If ADAS calibration is needed, it runs in parallel with adhesive cure.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the drive-away time before leaving, and you're covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

Any questions before or after booking — your fitter and UKCG's support team are here to help.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Duster?

Most Duster windscreen replacements can be fitted mobile at your home or workplace, as the majority of variants in our catalogue do not require ADAS camera recalibration. However, if your Duster is equipped with a windscreen-mounted camera for lane assist or speed-sign recognition (common on 2020+ models with driver-assistance packages), the job will be scheduled at a workshop so that static calibration can be completed in a controlled environment after the glass is set.

This is not a split arrangement — both glass replacement and calibration happen on the same day at the same location, ensuring the safety-critical camera alignment is completed without delay.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

About the Dacia Duster

The Dacia Duster has been in continuous production since 2008, establishing itself as a rugged, affordable SUV across European and UK markets. Over its lifespan, the model has evolved through distinct generations — the original 2008–2017 platform, the second generation from 2018 onwards, and the latest 2024+ refresh — each bringing refinements to glass specification and driver-assistance technology.

All current Duster windscreens carry a subtle green tint and solar-control coating to reduce infrared heat and glare. Many variants also feature a VIN notch (a small box at the bottom showing the chassis number), and a minority of models include a sun strip — either blue or grey-tinted — running across the top to further cut glare without obstructing the driver's view.

From around 2020 onwards, Dacia began introducing front-facing ADAS cameras on models with driver-assistance packages; the Duster's camera fitment pattern follows the brand's wider rollout. If your Duster is equipped with lane assist or speed-sign recognition, the camera is mounted at the top of the windscreen just ahead of the rear-view mirror and will require recalibration after windscreen replacement.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

Not all Duster variants carry a windscreen-mounted ADAS camera. Models from around 2020 onwards equipped with driver-assistance packages (lane assist, speed-sign recognition) do have a front-facing camera bonded to the top of the windscreen. After replacement, this camera must be recalibrated to ensure it functions correctly.

During your quote, you'll be asked about driver-assistance features; this tells us whether calibration is needed and whether a workshop appointment is the right fit for your job.

The Duster spans three main generations: 2008–2017, 2018–2023, and 2024+. The original platform and the newer 2018+ models use different windscreen parts, so it's important to confirm your exact year during booking. All generations carry green-tinted, solar-control windscreens as standard, but later models are more likely to feature sun strips and ADAS cameras.

Your online quote handles generation matching automatically — just confirm your year and features, and the correct glass spec is locked in.

Mobile replacement at your home or workplace is the default for Duster models without ADAS calibration. If your Duster does require camera recalibration (confirmed during the quote), the job is scheduled at a workshop so calibration can be completed in a controlled environment. Either way, you'll know before the booking is confirmed, and your fitter will be available at the time and location that suits you best.

Non-ADAS windscreen replacement typically takes 45–90 minutes of the fitter's hands-on time, depending on the vehicle and any trim complications. If ADAS calibration is required, the job takes longer because the camera must be realigned after the glass is set; your fitter will confirm the full schedule before the day.

Calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure, so it doesn't extend the time before you can drive away — your fitter will confirm the drive-away time on the day.
