The Dacia Duster has been in continuous production since 2008, establishing itself as a rugged, affordable SUV across European and UK markets. Over its lifespan, the model has evolved through distinct generations — the original 2008–2017 platform, the second generation from 2018 onwards, and the latest 2024+ refresh — each bringing refinements to glass specification and driver-assistance technology.
All current Duster windscreens carry a subtle green tint and solar-control coating to reduce infrared heat and glare. Many variants also feature a VIN notch (a small box at the bottom showing the chassis number), and a minority of models include a sun strip — either blue or grey-tinted — running across the top to further cut glare without obstructing the driver's view.
From around 2020 onwards, Dacia began introducing front-facing ADAS cameras on models with driver-assistance packages; the Duster's camera fitment pattern follows the brand's wider rollout. If your Duster is equipped with lane assist or speed-sign recognition, the camera is mounted at the top of the windscreen just ahead of the rear-view mirror and will require recalibration after windscreen replacement.
