Great to witness someone doing a job who knows what they are doing - just hammered down with rain - no leaks - very pleased (but not with the golfer who destroyed the original!!! )

What to expect during your Skoda Karoq rear window replacement

Your rear window replacement follows a straightforward process from online quote through to fitting and aftercare.

  1. 1

Start with an instant quote through our online widget — answer a few quick questions about your Karoq's year and features, and receive a quote in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Once you've booked, our parts-check team verifies the exact variant you need, confirming any tinting, antenna, or hardware that must be matched.

  3. 3

We match you with a local approved fitter who sources the correct replacement glass and schedules your appointment at a time that suits you.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the fitter removes the shattered rear window — a process that involves clearing accessible glass fragments — and installs the new glass, bonding it securely in place.

  5. 5

Your fitter will confirm the minimum drive-away time before you leave, based on the adhesive used and weather conditions on the day.

  6. 6

We recommend arranging a professional interior valet or detailing afterwards, since small glass shards can work their way into places like seatbelt mechanisms and trim channels that aren't fully accessible during the replacement itself.

Your replacement comes with a two-year warranty covering workmanship and glass quality — if any issues arise, contact us and we'll arrange an inspection and remedy.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Karoq?

Rear window replacement on the Karoq is almost always carried out at your address — mobile fitting is the default. Because the Karoq does not typically require ADAS camera calibration for rear-window work, a workshop visit is not necessary unless you prefer it or weather conditions make a mobile fit difficult.

If you'd rather have the work done at a workshop garage, just let us know at booking and we'll arrange it — the choice is yours.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

What features does your Karoq have?

Tap a feature to see what it is, how to spot it on your car, and how it affects glass replacement. We confirm the exact match for your vehicle when you book.

  • Antenna2
    2017–2026

On the Skoda Karoq: fitted on every one of the 2 rear window variants we list; model years 2017–2026.

    What it means

A radio or DAB aerial laminated into the glass — a replacement must carry the matching antenna print and connector so reception is restored on fitting.

    On your Skoda Karoq

Standard across all Karoq variants produced from 2017 onwards; confirmed during the parts check after you book.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen2
    2017–2026

On the Skoda Karoq: fitted on every one of the 2 rear window variants we list; model years 2017–2026.

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

  • Dark Green1
    2017–2026

On the Skoda Karoq: fitted on 1 of the 2 rear window variants we list (50%); model years 2017–2026.

    What it means

A darker green privacy tint on the rear window, distinct from the lighter tint found on the front glass — enhances privacy in the rear cabin.

    On your Skoda Karoq

A visual difference between your rear window and front side windows; confirmed during the parts check.

  • Green1
    2017–2026

On the Skoda Karoq: fitted on 1 of the 2 rear window variants we list (50%); model years 2017–2026.

    What it means

A subtle green tint applied to the glass — about 90% of all car glass has a tint which is hard to see at first glance, so look carefully at your rear window in sunlight.

    On your Skoda Karoq

Some Karoq models carry a factory green tint on the rear window; confirmed during the quote process.

  • Solar Control1
    2017–2026

On the Skoda Karoq: fitted on 1 of the 2 rear window variants we list (50%); model years 2017–2026.

    What it means

A solar coating that absorbs the sun's infrared rays, helping keep the cabin cooler and reducing air-conditioning load — found on select higher-trim Karoq models.

    On your Skoda Karoq

Typically offered on premium trim levels; your fitter will confirm whether your rear window carries this coating during the initial parts verification.

About the Skoda Karoq

The Skoda Karoq has been in production since 2017 as a compact SUV, evolving through a single generation with periodic updates. Rear windows on the Karoq are typically toughened glass, which means a shattered rear window results in a shower of small fragments rather than large shards.

Most Karoq models feature factory-fitted hardware and antenna systems laminated into the rear glass, meaning a replacement must match these components exactly for radio and reception to function properly. Some variants also carry tinted rear windows — either a subtle green tint or a darker green privacy tint — which the replacement glass must replicate to maintain the factory appearance.
