Mazda B Series rear window price, by year

Pricing varies slightly depending on whether the rear window carries any integrated features — some variants may include heating elements or antenna integration. Later B Series models (2003–2006) sometimes carry these additions, which affects the parts cost and matching requirements. Generation and feature availability are the main drivers; all variants are straightforward replacements without the complexity of ADAS calibration.

Year Price range Quote
2006 £288 £288 Price my 2006
2005 £288 £288 Price my 2005
2004 £288 £288 Price my 2004
2003 £288 £288 Price my 2003

2001 £288 £288 Price my 2001
2000 £288 £288 Price my 2000

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older B Seriess can still be booked.

5 stars from start to finish

I received an instant quote from UK Car Glass, £200 cheaper than a competitor for a full windscreen replacement. Booked it, technician arrived when he said he would, communication throughout was outstanding and the work done was top notch. I couldn't fault the service I received, 5 stars.

Booking on line took order and confirmed the window screen replacement for this Tuesday, arranged to travel and take time from work only to get an email today to say can not be done until next week. Terrible service (or lack of service)

Misleading pricing practice

I submitted the details of my vehicle including license plate (from which they can get the VIN) and was given a quote for a replacement windscreen with calibration and home installation. It was a good price compared to competitors and the technician would have been able to repair at home. I accepted the quote and made payment for £889.11, and waited for the confirmation of date and time of installment. 18 hours later I received a call saying that a technician would be able to come out tomorrow to install, however the price quoted was incorrect and in fact it would be £200 more expensive as they got the windscreen part number wrong. Very annoying and potentially misleading pricing practice. I told them to recredit my card and that I would look elsewhere

What to expect during your Mazda B Series rear window replacement

Rear window replacement follows a straightforward process from quote to fit.

  1. 1

Use the quick quiz to describe your Mazda B Series — generation, trim, and condition — and receive an instant quote.

  2. 2

Once booked, the parts team confirms your exact replacement window matches the factory specification.

  3. 3

A local fitter near you is matched to the job, and you'll agree a convenient mobile or workshop appointment.

  4. 4

On the day, your fitter removes the shattered glass, cleans the frame, and bonds the new window in place. The job typically takes 30–60 minutes of active work.

  5. 5

You'll receive a minimum drive-away time from your fitter based on the adhesive used; calibration is not required because the B Series does not have windscreen-mounted cameras.

  6. 6

Your replacement is covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality. For thorough interior detailing after rear-window replacement, a professional valet afterwards is recommended — glass shards can work into places the fitter cannot reach on the day.

Book your rear window replacement in under two minutes and arrange a fitting at a time that suits you.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your B Series?

Rear window replacement on the Mazda B Series can be carried out at your home or at a workshop — the choice is yours. Because the B Series does not feature ADAS cameras or calibration requirements, there is no technical reason to insist on a workshop visit. Mobile fitting is the most convenient option for most owners.

  • Clear1
    1998–2006Calibration varies by vehicle

Clear windscreen glass has no tint; most cars have a slight tint as standard.

    What it means

A clear windscreen contains no added tint layer. Most modern windscreens incorporate a subtle tint (typically blue, green, grey or bronze) as standard to reduce glare, provide UV protection, and improve cabin comfort. A genuinely clear windscreen is the absence of this tint. Clear glass is less common than tinted variants and is sometimes specified for aesthetic or operational reasons, though the tint difference is usually imperceptible to the naked eye.

    How to tell

Lower your side window halfway and hold a white piece of paper behind it. If you see a noticeable colour cast (blue, green, grey or bronze) in the side glass, your windscreen has the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen specification in your service records.

    Replacement impact

Clear windscreen replacement uses the same installation process as any other windscreen. No special calibration or extended cure time applies. Sourcing is straightforward — clear glass is widely available as an aftermarket replacement. Installation time and drive-away restrictions follow standard windscreen replacement timings.

  • Heated Rear Windscreen1
    1998–2006

Heated rear windscreen with integrated wires clears mist and ice when you switch on the demister.

    What it means

A heated rear windscreen contains fine heating wires embedded within the glass. When you activate the rear demister, an electrical current passes through these wires, warming the glass and melting ice or condensation. This feature is particularly useful in cold or damp weather, improving rear visibility quickly. The heating grid is integral to the glass and connected to your vehicle's electrical circuit via connectors at the base of the windscreen.

    How to tell

Look at the rear windscreen from inside the vehicle — you will see a fine grid of horizontal lines across the glass, typically bronze or copper in colour. On the dashboard or steering wheel stalk, there will be a dedicated rear-demist button, usually marked with a windscreen symbol and heating lines. If in doubt, ask your vehicle's service centre or consult your handbook.

    Replacement impact

Replacement rear windscreens with heated grids are widely available as original-equipment aftermarket or dealership parts. The new glass must include the factory heating grid and electrical connectors intact. The technician will reconnect the heating circuit to your vehicle's rear-demist switch. Heated rear windscreens are bonded glass, so adhesive cure time applies; drive-away time will be confirmed by the fitter on the day.

About the Mazda B Series

The Mazda B Series was produced from 1998 to 2006, serving as a compact pickup truck across multiple generations. Rear windows on B Series models are typically toughened glass, which means a shattered rear window creates numerous small shards rather than large pieces.

Because the rear window arrives completely shattered during replacement, shard cleanup forms a significant part of the job. Your fitter will remove as much accessible broken glass as possible, but small shards can lodge in places that are harder to reach on the day — under seats, in seatbelt mechanisms, and deep within trim channels.
