Suzuki Baleno windscreen price, by year

Prices vary across the four active variants in our catalogue, primarily driven by generation differences and the presence of tinted glass or sun-strip options. Newer models with colour-tinted or blue sun-strip windscreens typically carry a slightly higher replacement cost than earlier, clear-glass variants.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £380 £390 Price my 2026
2025 £380 £390 Price my 2025
2024 £380 £390 Price my 2024

2021 £380 £390 Price my 2021
2020 £380 £390 Price my 2020

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Balenos can still be booked.

5 stars from start to finish

I received an instant quote from UK Car Glass, £200 cheaper than a competitor for a full windscreen replacement. Booked it, technician arrived when he said he would, communication throughout was outstanding and the work done was top notch. I couldn't fault the service I received, 5 stars.

Booking on line took order and confirmed the window screen replacement for this Tuesday, arranged to travel and take time from work only to get an email today to say can not be done until next week. Terrible service (or lack of service)

Misleading pricing practice

I submitted the details of my vehicle including license plate (from which they can get the VIN) and was given a quote for a replacement windscreen with calibration and home installation. It was a good price compared to competitors and the technician would have been able to repair at home. I accepted the quote and made payment for £889.11, and waited for the confirmation of date and time of installment. 18 hours later I received a call saying that a technician would be able to come out tomorrow to install, however the price quoted was incorrect and in fact it would be £200 more expensive as they got the windscreen part number wrong. Very annoying and potentially misleading pricing practice. I told them to recredit my card and that I would look elsewhere

What to expect during your Suzuki Baleno windscreen replacement

Booking your Baleno windscreen replacement is straightforward — here's what happens next.

  1. 1

Start with an instant quote through our online widget, which takes about a minute. Answer a few quick questions about your Baleno's generation and trim to identify the exact windscreen variant you need.

  2. 2

Once you've booked, our parts team cross-checks your details against our supplier network to confirm glass availability and any ADAS calibration requirements.

  3. 3

You'll be matched with an approved fitter in your area who specialises in your model. They'll confirm a fitting time and whether the job can be done mobile at your address or at a workshop.

  4. 4

On fitting day, your fitter removes the damaged windscreen, cleans the frame, and sets your replacement glass. If calibration is required, it's completed in parallel with adhesive cure.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the minimum drive-away time (typically confirmed on the day, depending on adhesive and ambient conditions) and hands over your two-year warranty.

From quote to completion, the entire process is designed to get you back on the road quickly and safely.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your Baleno?

Most Baleno windscreen replacements can be completed mobile at your home or workplace. Your fitter will confirm the arrangement when they contact you. Mobile fitting is the default unless ADAS calibration is required and your fitter needs a workshop environment with target boards to complete the static camera calibration safely.

If calibration is needed, the entire job (replacement and calibration) is scheduled at one workshop location to ensure the safety-critical calibration is completed before you drive away.

We confirm the specific answer for your vehicle when you book.

  • Green3
    1995–2026

Green tint reduces glare and improves visual comfort by filtering certain light wavelengths.

    What it means

Green tint is a light-filtering coating applied to the glass during manufacture. It absorbs and reduces transmission of certain wavelengths of light, primarily to cut glare from sunlight and reflections. The tint is subtle — often barely visible to the naked eye — but measurably improves visual comfort during prolonged driving, particularly in bright conditions. It's a factory specification chosen by the vehicle manufacturer to balance daylight comfort with interior visibility and aesthetic consistency across all glass in the vehicle.

    How to tell

The easiest way to check is to roll your side window halfway down and hold a piece of white paper behind it. Look carefully for a tint cast — green tint will appear as a subtle green hue compared to clear glass. Your windscreen will have the same tint as your side windows. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre — they'll have the original specification on file.

    Replacement impact

Green-tinted replacement glass must match the original tint specification to maintain visual consistency across all windows and preserve the vehicle's interior aesthetics. Aftermarket OE-equivalent (OEE) green-tinted glass is widely available, though some vehicles may require original equipment (OEM) dealership glass if the tint specification is proprietary. Tint does not affect calibration, cure time, or installation procedure — it's a cosmetic and functional specification only.

  • Blue1
    1995–2002

Blue-tinted windscreens reduce glare and heat while maintaining a subtle, modern appearance.

    What it means

A blue tint is a light coloration applied to the windscreen glass, usually during manufacture. It reduces solar heat transmission and glare from sunlight, particularly on bright days or when driving into the sun. The tint is integral to the glass itself — not a separate film — and is chosen by the vehicle manufacturer to balance comfort, visibility, and aesthetic consistency with the vehicle's side windows and rear window. Most vehicles come with a green or blue tint as standard; the choice depends on the manufacturer's design and regional climate considerations.

    How to tell

Check your side windows by rolling one halfway down and holding a white piece of paper behind the glass. If you see a blue tint reflected in the glass, your windscreen will have the same tint. You can also ask your vehicle's dealership or service centre to confirm the windscreen tint specification. The tint is visible when comparing the windscreen to clear glass, though it may be subtle and harder to spot on overcast days.

    Replacement impact

Blue-tinted replacement windscreens must match the original tint to maintain visual consistency with your side and rear windows. Most replacement glass is available in the correct tint through OE (original equipment) suppliers. There is no calibration requirement related to tint. The tint does not affect fitting time, cure time, or drive-away schedules. Ensure the replacement windscreen is specified with the blue tint to avoid a mismatched appearance.

  • Blue Sun Strip1
    1995–2002

A blue-tinted gradient band across the top of your windscreen that reduces glare without affecting your view of the road.

    What it means

A blue sun strip is a tinted gradient band built into the upper edge of your windscreen's laminate layer. It reduces glare from sunlight reflecting off the road and bonnet without darkening your main field of vision. The tint is created during manufacture as part of the glass laminate itself — it cannot be added or removed later. Sun strips are a windscreen-only feature; rear and side windows cannot carry this effect because they use tempered rather than laminated glass.

    How to tell

Look at the top of your windscreen from inside the car — you'll see a distinct blue-tinted band running horizontally across the upper portion. Check your vehicle's specification sheet or ask your dealership service centre whether your windscreen is listed as a 'blue sun strip' or 'tinted sun strip' variant. Your invoice or parts manual will confirm it.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a blue sun strip, the replacement must be the sun-strip variant — a standard plain windscreen will not replicate the tinted band. Your replacement glass is sourced as an exact match to your original specification. There are no additional calibration or cure implications beyond a standard windscreen replacement. Fitting and drive-away times remain unchanged.

  • Vin Notch1
    2016–2026

A printed VIN reference box along the bottom edge of your windscreen helps identify your vehicle's chassis number at a glance.

    What it means

A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) notch is a small printed or etched box positioned along the lower edge of the windscreen that displays your vehicle's chassis number. This reference marking is a manufacturing and administrative feature, allowing quick visual identification of the vehicle without needing to consult documents. It's particularly useful for service records, insurance claims, and vehicle registration purposes. The notch itself doesn't affect the structural integrity or safety performance of the glass.

    How to tell

Look along the bottom edge of your windscreen — typically in one of the lower corners — for a small rectangular box containing printed digits or characters. If you're uncertain, check your vehicle's service handbook or ask your dealership or service centre to confirm whether your model includes this feature.

    Replacement impact

When your windscreen is replaced, the new glass will retain the VIN notch printed or etched by the manufacturer. This is a standard feature on replacement windscreens for compatible vehicles and requires no additional work or adjustment. The notch does not affect glass fitting, cure time, or any post-replacement calibration procedures.

About the Suzuki Baleno

The Suzuki Baleno has been in continuous production since 1995, evolving through multiple generations with a growing focus on practical, affordable city-car design.

Windscreen features have developed gradually across its generations — earlier models carry straightforward laminated windscreens, whilst newer Balenos incorporate tinted glass variants and VIN notches as standard fitment options. Most Baleno models feature a green or blue tint, which is subtle but present across the majority of variants in our catalogue.

The current generation emphasises value and efficiency, with tinted windscreens and sun-strip options on select trims. No web-backed information is currently available on ADAS camera fitment across Baleno generations, so calibration requirements are confirmed during your quote process.
