Honda CR-V windscreen price, by year

Price variation depends on your CR-V's generation, ADAS specification, and fitted options. Older models without Honda Sensing cameras are the most affordable; models equipped with the forward-facing camera system incur calibration costs after replacement, reflecting the additional workshop time and specialist equipment required.

Acoustic and solar-control glass (fitted to select trims) also affects pricing. Right-hand-drive UK-specific variants ensure sensors and brackets align correctly, and these specifications influence the final quote.

Year Price range Quote
2026 £716 — £915 Price my 2026
2025 £716 — £915 Price my 2025
2024 £716 — £915 Price my 2024

2021 £716 — £808 Price my 2021
2020 £716 — £808 Price my 2020

The displayed range is an indicator — the final price is produced by the quote form after you confirm your variant. Older Honda CR-V models can still be booked.

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car

Had to replace the windscreen on our 18 year old car because it had become dangerous due to thousands of micro chips. The low winter sun made it impossible to see out of. Searching online found UK Car Glass. The price was reasonable and I made an online booking for 2 days later. Unfortunately due to storms a nice lady from the company phoned me and asked if we could postpone fitting for 2 days till the weather cleared which was no problem. The fitter turned up as promised and the job was done within half an hour. Overall a good experience. UK Car Glass appear to be a nationwide company who sub contract to existing windscreen fitting companies. In view of this it may be worthwhile directly contacting a local firm first to check their pricing as it's possible they may be a bit cheaper because their won't be a middleman. However, I've no complaints. Ease of booking, communication etc is excellent.

Very happy with UK car glass

Very happy with UK car glass. They offered the lowest quote and an online booking service. After an initial confirmation email, I heard nothing further for a week, so I called to check that my car was still booked in for a new windscreen. I was informed that it was and they would be in touch to confirm the ETA. The team kept me informed over the weekend, the technician called and updated me again on the day, and arrived when he said he would. The screen was changed efficiently and the technician was polite and helpful. I would use the company again and recommend UK car glass to others.

What to expect during your Honda CR-V windscreen replacement

Booking your CR-V windscreen replacement takes minutes, and fitting typically completes within a couple of hours.

  1. 1

Answer a short guided quiz about your CR-V's year, features and equipment — the system identifies your exact windscreen variant in under 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Check the instant quote, select your preferred date and time, then complete checkout — the whole process takes under two minutes.

  3. 3

UKCG matches you with a local approved technician and confirms your appointment with full job details.

  4. 4

On fitting day, the technician replaces your windscreen and (if your CR-V has Honda Sensing) performs static camera calibration at the workshop to ensure the system is properly aligned.

  5. 5

Your fitter confirms the drive-away time before you leave — typically the same as non-ADAS jobs because calibration runs in parallel with adhesive cure.

  6. 6

You're covered by a two-year warranty on workmanship and glass quality.

From booking to handover, UKCG co-ordinates everything so you get back on the road with confidence.

Mobile fitting or workshop visit for your CR-V?

Most CR-V windscreen replacements can be done at your location as a mobile service. However, if your model is equipped with Honda Sensing (the forward-facing camera system), the job must be completed at a workshop because static camera calibration requires a controlled indoor environment with printed target boards positioned at precise distances.

UKCG schedules the full job — replacement and calibration — at a single workshop location to ensure the safety system is properly aligned and the work is complete before you drive away. This typically applies to 2026 models and many recent variants; your quote will confirm whether a workshop visit is required.

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 5 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (26%); model years 2015–2026; calibration varies by vehicle.

The moulded trim that surrounds your camera and sensor cluster at the top of the windscreen, typically transferred or supplied with replacement glass.

    What it means

A bracket for safety features is the moulded plastic or composite shroud that sits at the top of the windscreen, framing and protecting the camera and sensor cluster mounted behind the rear-view mirror. This trim cover houses forward-facing driver-assistance cameras and sensors — equipment that monitors the road ahead for lane-keeping, collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and similar safety functions. The bracket itself is part of the vehicle's structural frame, but the trim cover you see is what protects and aesthetically integrates the technology into the windscreen area.

    How to tell

Look at the top centre of your windscreen, just above or around the rear-view mirror. If you see a dark moulded shroud or trim panel — often rectangular or tapered — with a visible lens or sensor window, your vehicle has a bracket for safety features. Your service history or handbook will list any ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technologies fitted. Ask your dealer or service centre if your vehicle has forward-facing cameras or sensors; if it does, you have a bracket for safety features.

    Replacement impact

On windscreen replacement, the trim cover is typically transferred from your old glass to the new one, or supplied pre-integrated with the replacement depending on the variant. This means minimal disruption to your safety system during the swap. However, if the bracket requires recalibration after glass replacement — which depends on your specific vehicle and camera type — the job may require static calibration (using a target board) or dynamic calibration (a road drive). We confirm the exact calibration procedure when we look up your vehicle.

  • LIDAR2
    2015–2018Bespoke calibration

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 2 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2015–2018; bespoke calibration.

LIDAR helps your car sense its surroundings for advanced safety and driver-assistance features.

    What it means

LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a sensor technology that uses laser beams to detect objects, obstacles, and road features in three dimensions. It creates a detailed map of the vehicle's surroundings in real time, enabling advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and autonomous emergency braking. LIDAR complements camera and radar systems by providing precise distance and depth information, even in poor visibility or low-light conditions. It is increasingly fitted to modern vehicles as part of their safety and autonomous-capability infrastructure.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's handbook or contact your dealership to confirm LIDAR fitment. LIDAR sensors are typically mounted on the roof, bumpers, or within the windscreen/rear-window frame area. You may see reference to 'LIDAR', 'laser radar', or specific safety-feature names (e.g. 'adaptive cruise control', 'autonomous emergency braking') that rely on LIDAR in your documentation.

    Replacement impact

If your windscreen or rear window houses or frames a LIDAR sensor, replacement requires careful handling to preserve or recalibrate the sensor post-fit. LIDAR calibration procedures vary significantly by vehicle make, model, and year—some require static alignment using specialist target equipment, others demand dynamic road-drive procedures, and some use a combination. We identify the exact calibration requirement when we look up your specific vehicle and confirm it with you before booking.

  • Mono Camera2
    2018–2026Calibration varies by vehicle

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 2 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2018–2026; calibration varies by vehicle.

A single camera mounted near the rear-view mirror that helps with lane-keeping and collision avoidance.

    What it means

A mono camera is a single-lens camera positioned behind the windscreen, typically in the upper centre area near the rear-view mirror. It captures the road ahead and uses computer vision to detect lane markings, vehicles, and road hazards. The camera feeds data to driver-assistance systems such as lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning. It forms the visual foundation of these safety features, allowing the vehicle to monitor road position and surrounding traffic automatically.

    How to tell

Look in the black trim area above the windscreen, centred behind the rear-view mirror — you will see a small triangular lens assembly or dark lens cover. Check your vehicle handbook or ask your dealer's service department to confirm your model has lane-assistance or collision-warning features; vehicles with these systems almost always have a mono camera. Dashboard warning symbols related to lane or collision systems also indicate the presence of this camera.

    Replacement impact

When the windscreen is replaced, the camera bracket and lens assembly must be removed and carefully repositioned on the new glass. The camera may require calibration after fitting to ensure accurate road detection and lane recognition. Calibration needs vary by vehicle — we confirm the exact procedure when we look up your specific vehicle. The job may take longer than a standard windscreen replacement, and workshop facilities may be required if calibration demands a controlled environment.

  • Static Camera Calibration Process2
    2018–2026Static calibration required

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 2 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (11%); model years 2018–2026; static calibration required.

    What it means

A workshop-based procedure that realigns the Honda Sensing camera after windscreen replacement using printed target boards — essential for lane-keeping and collision-detection accuracy.

    On your Honda CR-V

Required on camera-equipped CR-V models (2026 models and many recent variants); the technician completes this indoors with the vehicle stationary before handover.

  • Heated Coating1
    2018–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 1 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (5%); model years 2018–2026.

A transparent heating layer in the glass defrosts and defogs the windscreen evenly without visible wires.

    What it means

Heated coatings are a transparent conductive layer embedded within the laminated windscreen glass itself. Rather than using visible heating filaments, this coating distributes heat evenly across the entire surface when energised. The system defrosts and defogs the windscreen efficiently, typically faster than conventional filament designs, and operates at lower energy consumption. The coating is invisible to the driver and functions as part of the vehicle's climate control system.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's windscreen for the absence of visible heating wires or grid lines. Ask your dealership or service centre whether your car has a coated (invisible) heating system rather than filament-based heating. You can also check your handbook under climate control or windscreen features.

    Replacement impact

Replacement glass must carry the same transparent conductive coating for the heating circuit to function. The coating is applied during manufacturing and cannot be added afterwards. Your replacement windscreen will be sourced as an OE (original equipment) or equivalent coated variant to ensure heating performance. No additional calibration or curing implications arise from the coating itself.

  • Heated Wiper Rest Area1
    2018–2026

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 1 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (5%); model years 2018–2026.

Heating elements embedded in the glass melt ice from your wipers and the bottom of your windscreen.

    What it means

A heated wiper rest area uses electric heating elements embedded into the windscreen in the area where your wipers park when not in use. These elements warm the glass to prevent ice and frost from bonding to the wiper blades and the lower windscreen edge during cold weather. This reduces the effort needed to clear ice in the morning and helps protect your wipers from damage caused by frozen adhesion to the glass.

    How to tell

Check your windscreen's lower edge where the wipers rest — you may see faint heating lines or elements visible in the glass. Your handbook or service history will confirm the feature. You can also ask your dealer or service centre whether your vehicle is equipped with a heated wiper rest area.

    Replacement impact

When replacing a windscreen with a heated wiper rest area, the replacement glass must include the heating elements. Aftermarket and OE glazing suppliers offer this feature, but availability varies by vehicle. The heating system does not require calibration after replacement, though the technician will ensure the heating element connections are properly restored during installation.

  • HUD - Head Up Display1
    2023–2026No calibration after replacement

On the Honda CR-V: fitted on 1 of the 19 windscreen variants we list (5%); model years 2023–2026; no calibration after replacement.

A Head-Up Display projects your speed, navigation cues and key alerts onto the windscreen so you can read them without looking down.

    What it means

A Head-Up Display (HUD) projects driving information — speed, navigation cues, ADAS alerts — onto the windscreen in your line of sight, so you can read it without taking your eyes off the road. The projector is mounted in the dashboard and shines the image upwards onto a special HUD-compatible windscreen that uses a wedge-shaped laminate to prevent a ghost image. Common on premium and sports models, increasingly standard on mid-range cars from the 2020s onwards.

    How to tell

Check your vehicle's specification sheet or handbook under 'display features' or 'HUD'. Look for a small projector unit mounted on the dashboard, typically below the steering wheel or in the instrument cluster area. When you start the vehicle, a bright image should appear on the lower windscreen area. Your dealer's service centre can confirm whether your specific model and trim level includes a HUD.

    Replacement impact

Your replacement windscreen needs to be HUD-compatible — built with the correct wedge laminate so the projected image stays sharp and double-free. Once the HUD-compatible glass is fitted, the projector itself typically doesn't need recalibration: image position is user-adjustable via your dashboard controls. We confirm your vehicle uses the HUD-compatible windscreen variant when ordering, so the replacement matches the original.

About the Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V has been in continuous production since 1997, evolving through multiple generations and establishing itself as one of the UK's most popular compact SUVs. Windscreen specifications have evolved significantly — earlier models carry straightforward laminated glass, while more recent variants feature rain sensors, acoustic interlayers for noise reduction, and solar-control coatings to manage cabin heat.

From the mid-2010s onwards, Honda Sensing (the brand's advanced driver assistance suite) introduced forward-facing cameras mounted behind the windscreen. This system became standard across all CR-V trims by the 2026 model year, meaning most current variants require static camera calibration after windscreen replacement. The transition from earlier radar-camera combinations to the current single-camera system means glass and bracket specifications must be carefully matched to your generation.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most often.

You don't need to know. Our online widget asks a few quick questions — make, model, year, and a couple of feature details — to narrow the variant down. Once booked, our parts check team verifies the exact specification against your VIN before the job is dispatched.

Almost always, yes, where a forward-facing camera is fitted. The technicians in our network include ADAS-calibration-certified specialists — we confirm whether your job needs a workshop or can complete on your driveway when we book.

Your replacement glass matches your original factory specification — same size, features and trim fitment as the glass the car left the factory with. It's UK-approved for the road and typically supplied by tier-1 manufacturers like Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, and AGC.

OEM-branded glass (with the vehicle-maker logo) is available on request at a higher price.

Most windscreen replacements happen at your chosen location — home, office, or car park. Some jobs are better suited to a workshop — for example, windscreens with ADAS cameras needing static calibration, or where access to power, shelter, or controlled conditions makes the work safer indoors. We let you know when we confirm your booking.

Most windscreen replacements take 45–90 minutes of the technician's time. ADAS calibration extends the technician's time on the job, but cure time runs in parallel — so it doesn't usually delay when you can drive. Your technician will confirm exact timings on the day.

Most UK comprehensive policies include glass cover, typically with an excess of £75–£100. If your insurer is on our approved list, the specialist you're matched with bills them directly and you just pay the excess.

Otherwise you can pay UK Car Glass directly and claim back from your insurer — our all-inclusive price is often lower than the excess anyway, so paying direct can work out cheaper.

Two years on workmanship defects — water leaks, wind noise, bonding failures — from the date of replacement. If the specialist's work isn't right, we arrange to put it right under the warranty process.

No — only models equipped with Honda Sensing (the camera-based driver assistance system). This includes all 2026 CR-V trims and many recent variants from the mid-2010s onwards. Older CR-V models without Honda Sensing do not require calibration and can be fitted at your home.

Your quote will identify whether calibration is needed and confirm whether the job can be mobile or must be at a workshop.

Newer CR-V models often feature acoustic glass to reduce cabin noise, rain sensors to power automatic wipers, and solar-control coatings to manage heat. More recent variants include a camera bracket and mounting hardware for Honda Sensing.

All of these features must be matched exactly on replacement — UKCG's parts-check process confirms your windscreen variant includes all the correct specifications before the technician arrives.

Static calibration for the Honda Sensing camera runs in parallel with the adhesive cure process after the glass is fitted. The technician performs the alignment using specialist equipment while the bond develops, so it doesn't extend the total job time or delay your drive-away time.

The full job (replacement and calibration) typically completes within a couple of hours from start to finish.

No — UKCG's policy is to schedule the complete job (replacement and calibration) at a single location. If calibration is required, it must happen at a workshop because the procedure uses printed target boards and diagnostic equipment that need a controlled indoor environment.

This keeps you safe by ensuring the Honda Sensing system is properly aligned before you leave, rather than risking an incomplete calibration.
