The Cupra Formentor launched in 2020 as Cupra's flagship compact SUV, built on the VW Group's MQB platform. From its debut, the Formentor has featured a laminated windscreen with a green tint, rain-sensing wipers, and an encapsulated rubber gasket bonded to the glass edges at the factory.
All current Formentor models are equipped with Travel Assist, Cupra's camera-based ADAS suite. A windscreen-mounted mono camera sits behind the glass, supporting Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control. The windscreen also carries acoustic interlayers for noise reduction and a VIN notch along the bottom edge.
When your windscreen is replaced, the camera system requires static calibration — performed indoors with the vehicle stationary using printed target boards. Your replacement glass matches your factory specification exactly, and calibration is completed before you drive away.
