The Daihatsu Applause was produced from 1989 to 2000 as a compact saloon, carrying straightforward laminated windscreens with a distinctive blue tint as standard across the model range.
Most Applause models feature a blue sun strip — a gradient band across the top of the windscreen that reduces glare from above without affecting your main view of the road. This feature is built into the glass itself and must be matched exactly on replacement; a plain windscreen will not replicate the band.
Being from the pre-ADAS era, the Applause does not require camera calibration after windscreen replacement, making the job straightforward for independent specialists on our network.
