The MINI Cooper has been in continuous production since 2000, evolving through several generations with distinct glass feature sets. Earlier models carry straightforward toughened rear glass, while newer Cooper variants from around 2022 onwards increasingly feature integrated antenna elements for radio reception and, on some 2024+ models, heating elements woven into the rear panel.
From 2022, MINI's Active Driving Assistant package brought front-facing camera systems to the Cooper line. Whilst the camera sits behind the windscreen rather than the rear window, rear-glass replacement on camera-equipped models is still a straightforward job — the rear window itself carries no ADAS components, so fitting is faster than a windscreen swap and requires no calibration work.
